According to the latest issue of Famitsu -- as reported by Japanese blog hokanko-alt.com -- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot takes a hefty chunk of time to complete. The action role-playing title, which is due out next week on PlayStation 4, has a main story that supposedly lasts 40 or so hours.
However, if you want to see and do everything that the game has to offer, you're apparently looking at up to 100 hours of playtime. We already know that Kakarot boasts a load of side quests and optional activities, so this does seem like a reasonable estimate. As we've said before, though, we hope that there isn't too much grinding to be done. The same goes for story padding.
Think you'll be willing to spend 40 hours in Goku's shoes? Spend at least five of those hours screaming at Frieza in the comments section below.

sounds about right for a RPG now a days
Never really liked DBZ at all but this looks pretty great. Might pick it up on sale.
If it's anything like the cartoons when I used to watch them, 30 hours will be spent pressing a button to skip dialog and 'intense staring' cutscenes before an actual fight😂
A game being long doesn't mean anything to me if it isn't fun
