With the game set to launch next week on PlayStation 4, Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. As an action role-playing adventure, you'll be tasked with levelling up Goku and his pals through a variety of activities, all of which are detailed in this latest video.
It's looking like Kakarot aims to keep you busy in between fighting off world-ending baddies, but here's hoping that getting stronger isn't too much of a grind.

After watching the trailer, I have to agree, I really hope this isn't a grind fest like the Xeno games.
@Deadlyblack how grindy are the xenoverse titles? Have to admit to having not played a DBZ game.
@BorderlineJon the first is VERY grindy in fact it's RNG is terrible, the second isn't as bad but still has a heavy one
This does look grindy to me... or, at the very least, incredibly annoying. So you obtain exp and level up.... but then to unlock skills you have to collect globes. And medals. And emblems... And to raise stats you have to eat. Or cook. Or make someone else cook for you... God only knows what else you'll need to do to unlock other basic rpg mechanics... It all seems pointlessly convoluted and unnecessary. The combat looks good, though
Been getting the Dragon Ball bug over Christmas. Thanks a lot Dragon Ball Fighterz
@FullbringIchigo Xenoverse's RNG is a crime against humanity
I hope they finish at Resurrection F
@DanM this is true
on a personal note the RNG is the only thing that stopped my getting the Platinum on that game because it's so bad with the skill drops i can't get them all, there is one mission that just wont drop the skill, i once played for 6 hours straight on the same mission and it never dropped once
i only had 2 trophies left too
@FullbringIchigo Yeah, I also had started doing the trophies but then I realized that I would have to play the same battles hundreds and hundreds of times with virtually no guarantee that I would actually get the drops I needed. So I just said "screw it" and moved on. It's a textbook case of how NOT to do RNG.
@DanM yeah once XV2 came out i never looked back to XV1 and yeah XV2 still has RNG but it's still a lot better than XV1 at least the ultimate finish will trigger if you meet the requirements unlike XV1
seriously on XV1 it was random if the UF triggered, it was random if the attack will drop and it was random what other items you got too
it was RNG on top of RNG
