Sony will not be at E3 2020, but it’s still looking forward to celebrating the impending launch of the PlayStation 5 with its fans. Speaking as part of a statement on the organisation’s stance, a spokesperson said: “Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favourite content. We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PS4, and with the upcoming launch of PS5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans.”
Exactly how the platform holder plans to celebrate is still up for debate, however. The company’s said that it will still participate in “hundreds” of consumer events around the globe, but it’s yet to comment on the return of PlayStation Experience. All will presumably be revealed later in the year, as the organisation lays out its announcement plans, starting with some kind of PlayStation Meeting in the coming weeks, we suspect.

There has to be a Meeting planned for February, just like last time.
I reckon within the next week Sony will announce something about a Playstation meeting. I think that will deflect from the noise around them bailing on E3. Get the 'bad news' out of the way, then completely detract from it by hyping up the PS5 reveal.
It would have damaged momentum to build excitement with a PS5 announcement to then follow that up by saying they wont be at e3
A February new york meeting will be there for sure.capcom should be at e3 but its wishful thinking.rockstar doesnt do e3.word up son
YAWN! Bored news and they are playing the games with us.
I kinda miss PlayStation Experience, especially since that event is where they announced the Crash N. Sane Trilogy and made me absolutely FLIP with joy.
@azoreseuropa Yawn your face
@playstation1995 Why must you end every comment with that same f*cking phrase my god it makes me want to shove a bucketload of Crackdown 3 down my gullet.

@playstation1995 NOOO YOU SAID IT AGAIN JESUS
@Eldritch I am beginning to feel your pain with our old pal @playstation1995 and his favourite phrase.
I genuinely cannot escape those same three words...
E3 was the dedicated spot and time that every gamer knew that when it came around, we would hear about the latest and greatest our favorite systems and developers had to offer. Now when is it? Where do I tune in? When? I can't look forward to an announcement because I don't know when it will happen. Not only that, but I had a bucket list of one day going to E3, but I'm a PlayStation player and fan, so now that they aren't there, I don't feel like it's all that important.
@necondaa
You are funny.. and a heartless. Disrespectful.
