Just like that, Halloween is over, and November rolls into view. Pinch, punch, first day of the month. Anyway, Sony has replaced its spooky PlayStation Store sales with a new offer that sees the return of Double Discounts. There are hundreds of titles reduced on both the US and EU storefronts, and if you're a PS Plus member, the savings will be doubled.
There are some pretty recent and notable releases included, such as Control, GRID, and eFootball PES 2020. Of course, there are plenty of older titles too, with up to 50 per cent off the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, For Honor, and much more.
The selections for each region do differ slightly, so make sure to check the European and North American PlayStation Blogs for the respective lists. Will you be picking up any of these double discounts? Let us know in the comments below.

Is Control even playable yet on a base PS4?
Lots of games here. Notably Greedfall for $35 is tempting, seeing as it’s quite new, like Control. Also The Surge 2 is pretty new to be already on sale. My backlog is still pretty large so I’m likely to pass for now.
@Flurpsel - I had plenty of framerate and map loading issues with it on a pro after the patch so I'd guess it's still bad on a base machine.
PS Store sales are generally great BUT ... no VR games at all in this one??? Disappointing.
@Shigurui Bummer. I really like to play this but I'm definitely waiting for it to run smoothly. Which may never happen..
@Th3solution 2 games I’m interested in but am out of space in my HDD. I really don’t want to delete anything. Might go out and get a bigger one just because.
@fluggy Well it did recently have it's big anniversary sale so it's not too surprising, though I'm still waiting on a Beat Sabre sale.
@Flurpsel I have a base PS4 myself, launch version. With the most current patches, it runs quite smoothly on my console. Only issues I had were the map sometimes not displaying properly and a slight frame rate drop for a few seconds after unpausing. The last patch the devs put out fixed both of those for me.
If you like turn based combat at all, I highly recommend Battle Chasers: Nightwar for 6 bucks. This game was a gem for me: very fun, with a great combat system.
@Shigurui @Flurpsel I'm about 75% the way through on Pro. It's more or less absolutely fine. Few frame drops and short freezes here and there when the action really ramps up, but far, far, far from unplayable. Map sometimes is a bit weird but it's not caused me any problems.
Can't speak about the standard PS4, sadly.
Digital Foundry did a post patch revisit, which more or less supports what I'm saying about the Pro version, it'd be worth having a look at that as I can't remember what they decided about the standard PS4.
Without PS Plus, there's nothing here that's really tempting me this sale. I'd love to play Catherine: Full Body, but that can wait until I'm less busy with other games. 25% off (without PS+) isn't quite enough to get me to buy it on impulse.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is rather tempting.
I bought Control yesterday. I love it!
Kingdom Come Deliverance and Assassin's Creed Origins are what I have my eye on, same old issue though of just adding 2 more games to an ever increasing library of unplayed ones 😅
Surviving Mars is on there and is a neat strategy/city builder game. The Green Planet DLC is excellent but the first main DLC pack less worth it. I previously ended up getting both as the season pass worked out cheaper than getting just the latter.
grid ultimate is tempting!
Waiting for the inevitable Black Friday sale
