Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot already had an "early 2020" release window here in the West, but now a precise date has been revealed. The game's latest trailer, which arrives fresh from Tokyo Game Show 2019, confirms that the open world title will launch on the 17th January, 2020. As a bonus, the trailer's also pretty entertaining.
We've said it once and we'll say it again: early 2020 is shaping up to be ridiculous. At this point, don't be at all surprised to see some games get pushed back a few months.

Please tell me there's going to be an English dub option for this game in the west? The Japanese dub is absolutely atrocious.
At least the trailer confirms they're going into the Buu saga. Was kinda afraid they were going to stop at the end of the Cell saga, similar to a lot of, as I like to call it "fresh start" entries in the DBZ game franchise.
Still wish Burst Limit went further or received a sequel. Really enjoyed that game.
@TowaHerschel7 Bandai Namco has shown several trailers and gameplay videos with the English voices, so worry not!

Bandai Namcou has to love Dragon Ball fans. They can churn out one game after another with only minor twists on the formula and charge everyone full price for the game full price again, and then some, for all the DLC characters that fans already have used in any of the previous Dragon Ball titles.
I grew up watching Dragon Ball, DBZ and GT and understand why it's popular. But it baffles me why it's so popular and people are willing to not only buy one game after another, but also the piles of DLC that have become standard.
How many different versions of Goku will be in this one?
@Heavyarms55 Uh...You realize this is an RPG right? Besides the GBA DBZ games they've all been fighters so actually this is quite a different beast.
@KidBoruto Awesome!
@TowaHerschel7 there was a english dub version of the last trailer, you can watch it here

so as far as i'm aware the recent issues coming out of funimation has not effected the games dub of course the latest trailer shows that the game will get a season pass and IF Toei pull the licence from funimation as rumours suggest they might, then the game might very well drop the dub because they wouldn't be able to dub the season pass content
@TowaHerschel7 Huh, I guess I should have remembered the old phrase "don't judge a book by its cover".
I'll have to give this another look.
@Deadlyblack yeah Burst Limit was fun but that fact is Raging Blast sold more so it got a sequel and BL didn't
but on the plus side it gave Dimps more time to make the XeonVerse games
on the negative it did mean we got the stripped down and lazy Ultimate Tenkaichi (seriously they even recycled voice clips from the older games, it's jarring as hell hearing Gohan's voice change between Stephanie Nadolny and Colleen Clinkenbeard) and it's even more stripped down and lazy re-release DBZ for Kinect
