I dread to think how much you'd need to spend in GAME to accrue £379.99 worth of reward points
It does look nice but it’s just too late in the PS4’s lifecycle to get a shiny new console.
ANOTHER GAME exclusive, how the hell does that P.O.S chain keep getting all the good stuff
god i wish they would go bankrupt AGAIN so we could get rid of their disease from the industry
i'm already missing out on the deluxe edition of the FFVII Remake because of their greed
I NEED that controller!
what a horrible controller
I would love this I would buy the controller separate if it was for sale now.
Want it so bad but I already have a Pro. 😔
@Neolit So going by your math this is looking more like a Nintendo bundle - full price for all items and a little extra on top of that - rather than the typical Sony bundle where you get the game basically included?
1 year before the next gen launch this does seem a bit steep for everyone besides Geoff Keighly.
@FullbringIchigo I’d hate to see people out of a job but I agree, also CEX needs to go under too, disgusting stores, staff and service.
I would think if GAME ever went for good, Amazon would starting getting all the pre-order goodies, which is fine as the company is decent and actually with the times.
On topic, the console looks nice but that controller is an abomination 🤮
@Neolit On the bright side, since you got a PS4 Pro you may not need a PS5 until PS5 Pro launches since I can't imagine a lot of day 1 games that aren't either on PS4 or dual releases. And unless you have an 8k tv, really how much better are those "first gen" games going to be? Usually 2 or 3 years in the engines really push the hardware.
Of course you may just get a PS5 day 1 anyway and trade in your Pro since you seem to like trading things in. Probably still worth a decent amount then too for what you paid for it.
I used to be much better about watching console price drops, and I don't any more, but even still it seems like the PS4 got price drops fairly regularly after launch - well price drops or BF sales - and the Pro still seems to be hanging on to that launch MSRP price.
Curious as to what happens next spring as I don't think both models will sell alongside next gen, so 1 goes away or they merge, PS4 Pro inside, PS4 Slim outside, closer to Slim price.
Oh look.. the PS4's color has Hideo Kojima color scheme, and the controller has Sam's urine stream.
@Neolit "ps4 pro will probably live for some time along ps5"
I still wonder about that.
What makes the most sense:
$199 PS4 Slim alongside a $399 PS5
$299 PS4 Pro alongside a $399 PS5
Having all 3 probably makes the most sense, I just don't think it's feasible to offer 3 at once. So they merge the PS4 Slim and Pro, split the difference on price, $249. Which would work out fine if PS5 is $499. Half the price, 98% of the games for a year or 2 until exclusives really kick in.
But what do I know, I still don't even own a 4k TV.
@Neolit "4K tv? What for? So that my beloved blu-ray film collection could look worse?"
My wife will be so happy to hear that. (Yes, I tell my wife of conversations I have on NL, PS and twitter since I'm just an algorithm and don't exist IRL)
Any house we go to w/ 4k TVs she has to complain about the picture. To me, not the homeowners, she's polite. She's still hasn't forgiven me for taking her to see The Hobbit in high framerate 48. And I agree with her, those eagle claws were awful, I was having flashbacks to The Giant Claw from my childhood.
But she knows the time is coming. Our tv is 8 or 9 years old and it's 52", so when it goes, it has to be 4k b/c they dont' make them that size anymore without it.
Hopefully by then streaming will at least be 4k to help with the soap opera look or I'll never hear the end of it.
