If you were at all worried about Hideo Kojima delaying Death Stranding, fret not. The bizarre PlayStation 4 exclusive has gone gold, meaning development is done the game is ready for the next stages of production. Like Sam Porter Bridges making a successful journey, Kojima Productions will make a timely delivery on 8th November.
The studio announced the milestone over on Twitter, where a couple of photos celebrate the achievement.
Death Stranding was announced back at E3 2016 with a cryptic trailer and not much else. Three years later, and we're now just weeks away from playing the finished product. We're really excited to explore this unusual and creepy world for ourselves.

Certainly a quick turnaround for a AAA new IP although it's obvious Kojima had a lot of ideas for this all the way week back to 2014 and probably before.
I’ve got it preordered and I think the game looks stunning, don’t know whether I’ll like it but I’m sure it will be interesting. Also it should be good news for horizon 2 with Hideo’s input into the decima engine.
lets pray its not broken and unfinished at release.
Looking forward to the Death Stranding haters meltdown when it wins game of the year.

@Quintumply Any idea when the Push Square review might drop? I know that release date is still 6 weeks away, but just wondering if you all are getting a review copy and who will be the lucky reviewer.

i think this game end up with 92-94 on Metacritic
Can't wait. I've got it preordered since it was available to.
I'm confident I'm gonna like it
Kojima Productions as an independent was formed in December 2015. That means a 3 year 11 month turnaround. That must be a Kojima record.
I think once people play it, they'll say things like the third section and the fifth section are clearly "repurposed from the original ending to the Phantom Pain" not to mention that last boss is so "Raiden" lol
I was excited when that first trailer came out with its invisible monsters and weird mysterious floating shadow gods but as more trailers came it just got more bizarre (for the sake of being bizarre) and goofier and ive since lost interest.
Was hoping it would have turned out to be a bit of a horror game but its super wacky japanese-ness ruin (imo) what could have been a game to take as seriously as kojima wants us to. Suppose we'll see. Still interested in seeing what this connection thing is all about.
I guess i just want silent hills lol. Or even more so a fully fleshed out PT game.
@Gmork___ Sadly as long as Konami still has the Silent Hill license, probably never gonna see another console game.
At least a good Silent Hill game anyways...
