Fighting game tournament Evo has had to apologise, after a misleading gag led fans to believe that Metal Gear Solid star Solid Snake would be added to Tekken 7 as a DLC character. The tournament showcased a trailer featuring the gruff voiced soldier in an infamous Codec call, and many took this as a tease for some kind of cameo.
Not so, according to the organisers – it was just a “little joke”, thrown in without consultation from publisher Bandai Namco. The good news is that the popular brawler is getting more content by way of a third Season Pass, and you can learn more about that through here.

Snake would have been cool. Maybe Kiryu still has a chance?
Snake would have been the only guest character besides Geese that I would have liked. This game has too many guests already, but I would have made an exception for Snake.
