Last week's chart saw Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled get off to a flying start. It debuted at number one with the third largest launch of the year, but a major Nintendo release has prevented it from coming in first in its second week on sale. Super Mario Maker 2 drops a Nitro crate in front of the kart racing remake, and so it has to settle for number two.
A couple of other new releases make it into the top five, with F1 2019 in third and Judgment in fourth -- a pretty strong result for the new IP from Yakuza Studio. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night debuted last week in 17th, but it makes it to ninth place here thanks to its arrival on the Switch.
Here's the latest physical top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 29th June, 2019
- Super Mario Maker 2

- F1 2019
- Judgment
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

- Grand Theft Auto V
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey
- Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Nice to see Bloodstained is in the top 10. I'll have to get it when they fix it up a bit more.
Mario Kart 8 is becoming a legend in it's own time. The attach rate of that game is ridiculous
@BrettAwesome Just Ninty gamers buying Ninty games. This is actually very common for Ninty.
@BrettAwesome Agreed, I was looking for it at the bottom of the top 10 and coudn't find it until I looked up.
I am also impressed by GTAV... That game is almost 6 years old and still hits the top 10.
@naruball although less common than many assume. Nintendo's games actually make up roughly 5% of my current Switch library. And MK8DX likely won't be among them for quite a while more, at least until I'm through with MK7.
Good for bloodstained, I hope iga will make the sequel
Both are fantastic games, could end up playing them on and off for a long time!
GTAV is outselling new titles like Bloodstained RotN...I give up!
So, they don't mention it in this article, but the Switch version of Bloodstained in its first week sold more than the PS4/XBONE versions of the game combined in their first week. In the UK, even, which is a notoriously weak market for Nintendo.
They really messed up not making the Switch version more of a priority.
I returned my own copy. I might buy it when it's on sale and patched up. It's a good game, but I don't appreciate the second-fiddle treatment.
Nice to see AC Odyssey making an appearance again.
@naruball
Maybe. But there are not nearly as many Switch consoles out there compared to PS4. And a lot of them were bought by parents who want their kids to shut up while they're on the road and stuff
@BrettAwesome Actually the attach rate for kids on Switch is quite poor as the system is owned by predominantly adults/teens. Most kids tend to game on the PS4.
@Ralizah because publishers know that if they sell more copies on PS4 than Switch + xbox combined like Crash racing they end up at #1
But even achieving that on Switch they barely at #10. Simple math.
They release whatever on Switch... If it sells, they will fix it as the money comes in.
@Link41 yes sure... kids buying F12019, judgement, assassins creed Odyssey, redDead and preordering Cyberpunk on PS4
All the "adults" are playing Mario Kart on Switch
🤦♂️
@Agramonte Unfortunately children get access to M rated games all the time, surely you have played with one in Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto? Or is that your attempt at being a troll? I'm confused.
@Link41
Oh, ok 🙂 well, I stand corrected
@Link41 "Actually the attach rate for kids on Switch is quite poor as the system is owned by predominantly adults/teens. Most kids tend to game on the PS4."
Where's this source and how many rupees did you pay him?
@nhSnork but what about most owners? Didn't Zelda have an over 100% attach ratio when the switch launched in North America?
@Link41 Yes, All the children who need to "sneak M rated games" on PS4 cant wait to grow up So they can play Splatoon, Pokemon and Mario Kart like their parents and teenagers do on Switch. 🙃
Well, good thing that finally after 5 years "Adults and teenagers" are getting to play The Witcher 3.
Also, you do understand that if only 37% of the PS4's 96 million install base are "adults"... It would still be more than all the Switch sold to date.
Wow it's really great to see judgment in the top 5. That is extremely impressive considering how fast it went from being announced to release date.
@nhSnork That's not true. Just look at sales https://www.businessinsider.com/nintendo-reliance-on-first-party-games-huge-risk-to-business-2019-2?IR=T
@Agramonte @themcnoisy Most of switch owners are adults indeed. They are those people you would call "manchildren" or other commited fanatics
@Agramonte Ah so you are a troll, I was thinking as much. I shall not feed the troll good sir.
@Link41 Yeah, if you still do not understand how illogical your statement is by my last 2 post... time to let it go.
