People seem to be in the mood for Death Stranding demakes at the moment. First, we had that Dreams creation that boiled the upcoming Kojima Productions title down to a retro exploration game, and now we have this. Created by visual effects artist Hoolopee, this hasn't been made using Media Molecule's PlayStation 4 creation tools, but it's no less impressive.
This trailer is a like-for-like reproduction of the debut trailer for Kojima's PS4 exclusive, only with a PSone aesthetic. For comparison's sake, here's the original:
It's an impressive effort, isn't it? Obviously, we're very much looking forward to playing Death Stranding on PS4, but we're also liking this low-poly take on the mysterious adventure. What do you think of Death Stranding's PSone makeover? Go back to the 90s in the comments below.

Wow, that Decima Engine really is versatile, isn't it? I take it this version will be running at 300 FPS on PS4.
The fatal flaw being that this would definitely have been an fmv sequence on the PS1 π
I'd love to see the same thing for Breath of the Wild as if it was running on the Super FX chip.
Oh man, can't wait for the PS4 remake to come out. Had so much fun playing this game when I was a kid. Cheers!
@Rick_Deckard Maybe he meant that PS1 look so good that he never saw the need of a PS2 or probably never read π
So... his ass looks horrible on the PS1 version. What IS that?!

Amazing. Love these types of videos.
Now we need a Commodore 64 demake.
That was pretty great. I cannot believe how good that track is, it still enables this demake version seem epic, fantastic!!
