The Persona 5 Royal trailer for Makoto Niijima is here, giving us yet another brief look at all-new content in the expanded role-playing title. Each member of the Phantom Thieves is getting additional dialogue scenes, and naturally, that's the case with Makoto as well. We also get a glimpse of her 'Show Time' attack with Ryuji.
Is Makoto one of your go-to party members? Is she... Best girl? Dare to play volleyball with her in the comments section below.

Some mad volleyball skills there. They seem to really be pushing the new winter part of the game.
Makoto vs Kamoshida in a one vs one volleyball match needs to happen.
Makoto is still best girl. Oh wait, this is Makoto. Anyways, another cool video.
Still best girl. The crazy volleyball skills only increase her awesomeness.
Day 1 for me, I hope there's steelcase version like persona 5 original
Queen.
Ah. What a beautiful Queen.

Steal my heart!
these unison attacks are brilliant
i wonder why atlus gets a free pass exploiting its fanbase with anti-consumer practices? serious question here: what was stopping them from putting out the new content via a $20 DLC pass to those who already own the original game? how is it fair that perople should be required to purchase the game for a second time at full price? it is completely bonkers.
@Porco You dont have to buy anything. The problem is people act like they are owed something. You dont want it dont buy it im happy that some companies give me the physical option.
@Flaming_Kaiser and you failed to read my question... didn't even try to answer it but thanks anyways
@Porco On top of new areas and content there are also 3rd forms of personas, new/improved battle mechanics (ex. "Show Time" attacks), new social links, dungeons have been redesigned, new character and from what I can gather, partial rewrites of the story. It is a bit beyond the scope of DLC.
Now if you were talking about the Persona dancing games, I could sort of see where you are coming from. But P5R does not feel exploitative or anti-consumer to me. To be fair, it is all in how much individuals perceive the content to be worth.
@MS7000 in the grand scheme of things, p5r is perhaps 85% recycled content and 15% new content? i hear people calling it a brand new game and that couldn't be further from the truth. it does not warrant paying full price again — i cannot see it in any other way. even if i was a diehard fan, it would not be justifiable. yea, the dancing games are a whole other level of bonkers for sure which circles back to my original point... any other company would be crucified for this move. i have no doubt about that
@Bliquid well i have to agree with you there... p5 was definitely not all it was cracked up to be and quite disappointing. i preferred the roster of characters from p3/p4 a lot more. the storytelling in p5 was just so... trite... drawn-out... repetitive... take your pick. what the game really needs is an editor to trim the fat and improve the pacing of the narrative. they could honestly cut out 20 hours and you would not miss a beat. they seem to have this problem with all the persona games, but particularly with 5.
@Porco If you dont even like the game why are you even complaining. 😆
I think you get bang for you buck now with enough new stuff so yeah its worth full price. 😃👍
@Flaming_Kaiser i liked the game, it was just a little disappointing next to the previous entries in the series for me. just not a fan of this busness model and i hope it stops. even if my favourite game of this console generation — currently god of war — did something like this i would not budge
Makoto was my fave.
Love her new wallpaper on the video. Makoto has already stolen my heart. Best girl in the game for sure!
