Prize open those wallets: it's time for another new sale in PlayStation Land. This time, the North American PS Store has an offer focused squarely on retro games. If you're in the mood for some old school action, this sale's for you.
If you weren't aware, the PS4 plays host to a wide range of older titles, and a whole bunch of them are included here. PS2 Classics like Ape Escape 2 or Hot Shots Tennis are going for $4.99, Castlevania Requiem is a few dollars off at $11.99, and old arcade titles like Galaga and Pac-Man are just $1.99 each. There are even some more modern games in the sale with ties to gaming's early years. Games such as Sonic Mania, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, and even Owlboy are going cheap.
There's lots to go through, so be sure to check out the full lineup over on the PlayStation Blog. The sale lasts from now through to 23rd July. Will you be getting nostalgic with this new PS Store sale? Tell us what you're buying in the comments below.

Nice. I can get the Caslevania Anniversary Collection AND the Requiem Collection for $26.
Finally, Prototype 1 and 2 are marked down enough to justify buying.
I'm interested in Fez. Not sure if I'll bite though. Any input appreciated. I've played the demo and it was interesting, but I've heard the puzzles get ridiculously difficult. Apparently, there's one puzzle that's never even been solved??
Every time there's a sale for something I'd like. People must hate it when I have money.
Its sales like this that really ram home how much the EU/AU psn storefront is a poor second cousin to its US counterpart. Not just for its sales but the games that are on it compared to the EU region....to say the eu storefront needs an overhaul is an understatement!
@sketchturner Fez? Cue @themcnoisy or @kyleforrester87
@sketchturner I solved that puzzle, it's the trickiest one of them all. All you need to do is find Fez on the PS Store, put it in your basket, input your card details and boom. Problem solved. There's the 3 point solution to that problem.
Seriously the games great. If you enjoyed the demo go for it!
@themcnoisy Can it be enjoyed even if I don't want to mess around with translating the language and translating binary to hexidecimal and learning computer coding?
Great price for Castlevania Requiem, but I'm still holding out for a physical version. I hope Konami releases one soon.
@DerMeister The Illuminati know everything. 👳♂️
Is the ape escape game playable on the ps4?
@notdead Yes, you can play Ape Escape 2 on your PS4 with the psn sale.
And in other news, the DMC HD collection is more expensive than the game with DMC 4, so just get DMC HD collection with 4 for cheaper.
@sketchturner Yes very much so. I never 100% the game. Some of the wacky extra stuff is outside of the main game.
Dark Cloud 50% off at $7.49. That one seems to rarely go on sale.
@sketchturner I played it with a friend, who had it on xbox, and though I can't say for sure, as I don't recall beating 'every' puzzle, but I was with him when he complete it, and you basically get new gear to help you collect extra things for a 2nd playthrough, as I recall. From what I actually played, I thought it was a very immersive and incredibly well designed platform puzzler, with a really nice style and soundtrack! Very recommended.
@Robocod agreed. These deals seem like they get greater variety in the selection of sales, and even the frequency of them! Poor old eu psn store is looking a little lacklustre. Always the same games. Sooner or later, I'll just have to buy the witcher dlc. Not that that's such a bad thing.
@J2theEzzo and their answer on the EU store twitter is to ignore, ghost &/or re-post rather than answer anyone's questions why games are late, missing or stuck in approval purgatory (eg:like Battle Princess Madelyn or Hamster Arcade Archives), when everywhere else has them!
