When you think of the footballing greats that have graced the covers of FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer titles past, you surely think of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Marco Reus, and Neymar. So, who is one of the headlining players for this year's eFootball PES 2020? None other than Manchester United's Scott McTominay.

Yes, that is correct, a player who has put in a grand total of 31 Premier League appearances for last season's sixth-place finishers has managed to make it onto the cover. To be fair, the midfielder has signed on as an ambassador for the game, but it's sort of hilarious to see him on the box art alongside a lot better players.

Did Konami waste its entire marketing budget on getting Messi again and so had to feast for scraps from one of its partners to fill the last quarter of its cover? McTominay will be joined by Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry, and Juventus' Miralem Pjanic.

We're sure Push Square editor Sammy Barker is chuffed with the news, but what do you think? Make the Europa League in the comments below.
