The Evil Within director Shinji Mikami took to the stage at Bethesda's E3 2019 press conference to announce a brand new IP, named Ghostwire Tokyo. Check out the announcement trailer above.
The game is pitched as a change in direction for Tango Gameworks, away from survival horror. Instead, Ghostwire Tokyo is a new kind of action adventure title that delves into a supernatural evil. As you probably guessed, it's based in Tokyo, and people that live in the city are vanishing at an alarming rate.
"After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before."

Sounds interesting but it's another trailer in a sea of trailers that has been E3 2019
So it will be out in 2022, like most of Bethesda’s games they’ve been showing. They already have starfield and ES not coming out anytime soon. No way Deathloop or ghostwrite come out any sooner than 2020
E3 2019, the year of CG trailers and no gameplay. Love it!
I really like that this is apparently going to have a semi-modern urban Japanese setting, like a Yakuza game.
It seems like a cool concept. But, as with Death Stranding, I want to see more GAMEPLAY. I want to know what I'll be DOING in the GAME.
It has peaked my interest and put it on my radar. I'll defintely be keeping an eye out for info on this.
That trailer looks really good, hopefully the game will have a strong mysterious story. Need to see some gameplay though. Plus it's Bethesda, so there's always the concern that it'll release as a buggy mess.
looked very interesting - I hoped that we had something new instead of the Evil Within 3 - not that TEW1 & 2 were bad, just wanted something new, a change of direction within the 'horror' (preferably) genre.
Neat Idea. Just need to see the gameplay
@jly1987 I think you're confusing games that Bethesda are developing and publishing.
