It was rumoured and now it’s real: Elden Ring is the next PlayStation 4 game from acclaimed Japanese developer From Software – and it’s being helmed by Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki and, incredibly, Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin. It’ll likely be officially unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference at the weekend.
The news comes courtesy of renowned industry insider Daniel Ahmad, who seemingly wanted to add a little more spice to his Friday night. Unfortunately, there are scant other details at this stage, but Martin’s involvement suggests there will be some kind of fantasy theme. For now, enjoy the logo and we’ll see you again on Sunday.

Somebody turn that faucet off, it keeps leaking!
Would it be funny if MS's entire conference leaked? Say what you like about Sony, at least they do a great job at keeping this kind of stuff under wraps.
@AdamNovice Sony definitely has had lots of leaks in the past, too.
Sounds like there's an issue with Bandai Namco, though. Basically their entire lineup leaked.
@get2sammyb Usually it's people making educated guesses (God of War MIGHT be shown etc) but rarely does artwork and trailers leak from Sony right before a conference.
@get2sammyb I wonder if we will hear anything about the Project Z DBZ RPG, c'mon leaky faucet 😁
i wonder which of all those leaked games may have featured on the sony show if they where attending instead.
I just can’t get excited about playing a from software title anymore. I always feel I know how it’s going to play and the structure of it
All of the leaks are Bandai Namco. Tales of Arise, Ni no Kuni Remastered, Elden Ring, and even Cyberpunk 2077's collector's edition — it's published by Bandai Namco in Europe, remember.
Very very hyped for this! Just hope it's not like Bloodborne/Dark Souls and it's more of a normal RPG
@ShogunRok They are building quite the reputation now.
Made for each other. Both can plod on without any story happening whilst many deaths occur.
Can you really say its crazy if we don't know anything about the game?
This guy is never going to finish writing that book.
He rather do just about anything instead of working on it 🙄
@thefirst beat me too that comment.
Let’s be honest, the plot in FromSoft games is tenuous at best so here’s hoping they come up with something interesting.
I'm so up for seeing how from can still weave their traditional show not tell story telling with something that has a bit of traditional cinematic elements too. Mind you, it might be a vr walking sim....
I actually quite liked the sparse From plots. Leaves more for your imagination I guess. It's an intriguing collaboration, but I'd rather have Martin finish the damn books already!
So it's actually another leak and not been officially revealed? It really bugs me that sites use rumours and leaks as a basis for news stories these days.
