After an impressive gameplay demonstration, DOOM Eternal was finally dated for a 22nd November release.
This means the title will be competing for sales against the likes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and PS4 exclusive Death Stranding, but we're sure the hectic shooter will carve out its own niche in the market after the incredibly successful 2016 instalment.

If any game ever needed a Kratos skin it's this one. Though I suppose you wouldn't see it since it's a FPS.

Agreed. They actually showed some gameplay - a nice change of pace for this E3 - and it was exactly what I wanted. Definitely a day one.
I'm having that day off and Pokemon will be beat within a week.

Cinematic trailers are easier to show off and probably do a better job at building hype. That's my guess. I prefer to see actual gameplay though.
Don't you mean Death Stranding will be competing with Doom and Star Wars - too iconic and well established franchises and the last Doom was a success so I don't think this will struggle...
