Well, we weren't expecting this one. During Sony's latest State of Play broadcast, it announced a PlayStation 4 exclusive multiplayer title based on the Predator movies. Named Predator: Hunting Grounds, the game is an asymmetric multiplayer game coming to Sony's console in 2020.
It pits a squad of players controlling soldiers against a single player who controls the titular Predator. As outlined on the PlayStation Blog, it seems the squad will have some basic objectives to carry out while the Predator has to stealthily pick them all off. It's a decent fit, and seems like a great adaptation of the source material. It's a while off yet, but the pitch has us interested.

Was looking up who the devs are. Turns out they were the co developers on the Friday the 13th game so they have previous with this type of game. Wonder if this is Sony's way of getting back into more online games.

Looks promising it’s great Sony is trying to make some multiplayer games but like always people whine about everything. Hopefully it doesn’t get shut down after a year though.
If it wasn't online only I'd dig into this like an Alabama tick.

At least asymmetrical multiplayer fits with Predator. The movie had the soldiers getting picked off one-by-one by the invisible Predator.
They did a mode like this for mgs4 online, where the other players were mercs, and one person would get to be snake, with full stealth camo. I think one person got to play as his mini metal gear, too.
Was pretty sweet, could get excited for this... Specially if alien drops as dlc

And here I was thinking amongst the line of alien isolation.
On one hand, it's pretty interesting.
On the other hand, we all know what happens with Sony's multiplayer titles...

Or in this case, play the game quickly before an end of gen multiplayer game fails, servers shut down and everyone is ripped off.

How does it look promising? There's nothing you could possibly take form this cinematic trailer.
Seems a bit of an odd one for Sony. Essentially it's Evolve, which didn't do too well... though I suppose the Predator tie-in may give it legs.

hahaha! Sad but true.
Anyway the Predator games don't have the best reputation but I think this is a great idea. I'm a huge fan of the Predator and Alien franchise too. I actually bought Ghost Recon on sale purely for the Predator event. I'm gonna be watching this.
