There's a new trailer for Streets of Rage 4, and it's looking sweet. That fresh art style's slick, and the gameplay itself appears to be holding up really well. It's just a brief teaser, but it's got us eager to get our hands on this retro rough-'em-up.
Our only issue with Streets of Rage 4 right now is that we still don't know what platforms it's going to be on. We'd guess that's bound for all consoles, PlayStation 4 included, but until we have official confirmation, we can't allow ourselves to fully commit. It's a bit weird that we're waiting on such vital information.
How are you liking Streets of Rage 4 so far? Keep that enemy airborne in the comments section below.

This has Apple exclusive written all over it 😢
Still not sold on the art style, and the new enemy juggling is a bit strange. However, I'll wait until we've seen more before I pass judgement.
Why do Axel and Blaze look like they have either being eating doughnuts constantly or been hitting steroids pretty hard!
I bet they're releasing it for Mega Drive like the old ones.
I’m fine with how the game looks, interesting about the juggling part. But yeah, I’ve been wondering why no platform this game will go to hasn’t been announced yet. I’m sure it will be on all systems, but you never know.
The formats aren't announced because it's coming to Dreamcast 2. You heard it here first, people!
In all seriousness, really not sold on this so far - Axel's character design looks bloody awful, the animation is...OK, and the juggling mechanic looks a bit forced. But hoping I'm wrong about the gameplay at least.
It looks too clean and crisp and my nostalgic brain can't handle that.
n.i.c.e.streets of rage is the best sega genesis game ever.word up son
they still haven't added my boy Adam Hunter to the game boo
Phew a much better trailer. I hope everyone noticed the nods in the backing track to the original SoR.
I quite like the juggling. In 1 and 3 you could team attack enemies by jumping off your ally. That was ditched in SoR 2 and was the only thing lacking in that beast. So a big thumbs up from me that there are more tactics.
I hope it's not exclusive to apple arcade. The gameplay looks good, I like 2D beat-em up like the punisher on arcade or mother russia bleeds on ps4.
@wiiware I bought mother Russia but haven't really got into it yet although I have only played a couple of levels. Does it improve significantly?
My heart wasn't ready for Axel's uppercut sound effect
I'm loving the look of it. It's a little odd in motion, but it'll probably be better once you get a feel for it.
I'm not worried about platforms, I'm sure it's coming to plenty of systems, especially since the originals are on plenty of systems as well in some form or another.
@Dan_ozzzy189 I like the game from the beginning, if you don't like it after playing for 2-3 hours, I don't think you will change your opinion later.
I like the gameplay and the story is sort of interesting, but I hate that I have to beat the last boss without using health (drug) for getting the good ending, it make me not want to replay the game, I uninstalled it after I get the good ending (after dying way too much on the last boss, it's not fun ).
Besides the last boss, I think the game is pretty good.
If they pull this off, it'll be quite something. Just imagine it - a new Streets of Rage game. A good one! Wow
I can understand not being able to give a release date. But not revealing the platforms after so many months is ridiculous! I want to know if its on ps4 or not.
Im oddly not interested even though I was a big fan of the originals at the time, it just doesnt look like a true Streets of Rage game to me... I would have preferred a Sonic Mania approach.
Love the jugling! Hope it have some co-op moves too! 😁
