Among everything else that's caused a stir on the internet this week, Netflix released a new trailer for the upcoming third season of its popular original series, Stranger Things. It's due to start on 4th July, but that's not all -- Stranger Things 3: The Game is also releasing on the same day.
Announced during yesterday's Nindies Showcase, the game will arrive day and date with the season upon which it's based. It's an isometric, retro-styled action adventure featuring local co-op for two players. You'll be able to take control of 12 playable characters, who all have their own skills and stats, as you explore Hawkins and discover its dark secrets.
Above is the Nintendo Switch trailer, but the game is coming to PS4 too. Do you like the look of Stranger Things 3: The Game? Will you be playing when it arrives on Independence Day? Hang upside down in the comments below.

My daughter is really interested in watching Stranger Things - this will be a fine substitute!
Wait, I swear I had this on my iPhone last year?
The tag line brought me here. 😆
Why is it part 3?
The free mobile game last season was surprisingly fun. This looks like more of the same so that's good news
@Flaming_Kaiser Because it's a game based on season 3!
Terrific show.
I cancelled my Netflix sub because aside from the Marvel content and this, I basically never used it anymore and it wasn't enough to justify the price every month.
But I will miss seeing this season.
@Heavyarms55
Did you watch Bates Motel? That was amazing.
@Quintumply Ah ok thanks.
@Heavyarms55 could resub for a month and binge. Makes sense to go that way when only a few things you watch.
Stranger Things stealth, horror, triple A title could work.
@Robinsad Good plan and probably what I will do this summer.
@Fandabidozi I'll keep that in mind when I binge.
