We can safely say that the PlayStation 4 has reached peak popularity, because now you can solve a Rubik’s cube from the comfort of your console. Playable on both a standard television screen or with PlayStation VR (!!!), the imaginatively named Twisty Puzzle Simulator includes over 30 rotation puzzles for you to complete – with the more difficult ones looking borderline impossible.
“Some puzzles are common and recognisable while others are downright bizarre: you have never experienced puzzles like these before,” the official blurb reads. The game’s out now in North America, but currently not available in Europe, which is odd considering the whole concept was invented by a Hungarian. Nevertheless, we’re going to assume the market for this one is niche to say the least.

I don't have the patience to solve a regular Rubik's cube, let alone any of those other ''cubes''.
It looks a bit cheap too..
@Octane good luck solving it by just trying stuff. usually what you would do is learn an algorithm to solve it and memorize it. (or if you're really clever try making your own algorithm)
As a huge twisty puzzle fan-I’m excited!
I knew someone who could solve Rubik's Cubes in like four seconds. It was weird. Not in a fun, "oh you're so kooky!" way. In a "I can't believe it, he was such a quiet boy," kinda way.
Watching that video made my brain feel like mush.
I can't solve rubik's cubes for the life of me. Probably because I never learned the trick to it.
i can solve a regular cube in about 30-40 seconds, with any computer version of it, I tend to give up. it's weird, i find it to be quite a tactile thing, when it's in my hand, eye coordination and muscle memory kick in.
Why can't someone re-release some classic titles for the VR? I can name a few that could work:
Lemmings, Little Big Planet, Eye Pet, Sports Champions, Kung Fu Rider, The Shoot, Carnival Island, TV Superstars (yeah, basically anything that was made for the Move or even Kinect), Pac-man (could actually be a neat concept), Spongebob (again, could be something good considering that platforms work...Astro Bot was fantastic), old arcade style games (imagine an Atari Collection in VR mode), more sports franchises (big name sports...a baseball game that makes you feel like you're in the field and at bat...even having to look up to catch a fly ball), Mod Nation Racers (just to bring it back to life) and many of the good Wii-3rd party titles. Even a Wonderbook play element with Harry Potter or even bring the Buzz games back in this style. Heck, even game show type games could be fun (Wheel Of Fortune or even a classic Wipeout game). The possibilities are endless, but it seems like it gets more quickie titles that somehow cost too much to buy and download. I love my VR though!!!!!
I've seen it all now. 😀
To be fair this more than anything may convince my mate to buy PSVR. He loves solving rubik's cubes.
@Octane Theres a reason is looks cheep. The background is the default when you start a Unity project. Also looks like the default font.
Not saying Unity = cheep but this doesnt do the engine any favours.
@BumpkinRich That explains it. A bit more polish would have been nice I think.
