The seemingly never-ending off-season saga involving right fielder Bryce Harper has concluded, and that means MLB The Show 19 has a cover. The bearded batsman can be seen in his new Philadelphia Phillies uniform, pouting at the camera. Previously, developer Sony San Diego had been forced to use placeholder artwork of the former Washington National in a hoodie, as his free agency pretty much defined the past six months or so.
“It’s been amazing to partner with Bryce to announce his free agency signing, and couldn’t be happier for him as he kicks off the next chapter of his career,” game designer Ramone Russell wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “We can’t wait to see what 2019 holds for Bryce, and we’re even more excited to share what we have in store for our fans with The Show 19.”

@GepaltDopular Shoulda been Mookie Wilson.
@GepaltDopular I second it

All I see is $$$
My White Sox lost on Harper and Manchado but they're still a year or two away from competing anyway.
It's just silly boys's rounders
@Jimmy_G_Buckets white sox is n.i.c.e.word up son
@Jimmy_G_Buckets Don't worry, you didn't want your team burdened with $300M contracts, anyway.
@doctommaso typically I would agree 100% but the MLB doesn't have a salary cap and landing a star would have been nice, or at the very least, interesting.
I have a feeling this contract will be a dissaster for Philly.
Always scary with hefty lengthy contracts. Luckily, I don't have to worry about huge, long contracts with my small market Brewers. They have a good shot again this year, but our division has no sleepers so it will be a tough run
Why do they only protect one of their ears with those silly hats?
@Jimmy_G_Buckets Right, but teams only have so much money, and putting $30M a year into one player can really hamstring being able to put a complete team together.
