Ubisoft is obviously a massive player in the video game business, but we'd argue it's one of the publishers that's really improved over the course of this generation. Watch Dogs 2, Assassin's Creed Origins, and Far Cry 5 were all well received, pushing their respective franchises in different directions or to new heights. That looks set to continue, with The Division 2 looking very promising and plenty of intriguing games on the horizon.
During its recent financial earnings call, Ubi discussed, among other things, its slate of software for the new fiscal year. It seems the publisher has big plans, hoping to launch three or possibly four AAA titles between April 2019 and March 2020. Exactly what those games will be is up for debate. Skull & Bones will surely be out at some point in 2019. Meanwhile, a new Splinter Cell game has been heavily rumoured for some time, as has a potential Watch Dogs 3 -- could we see either of these release before this time next year?
We'll of course have to wait and see what emerges. What games do you want to see from Ubisoft this year? Get your predictions ready in the comments below.

The Division 2 won’t be one of the titles as that’s out before the end of this financial year. It will be Skull and Bones plus 2 or 3 unannounced games. At least there will still be something to watch E3 for.
and they will all be shoehorned into becoming an Assassin's Creed game even if they don't work as one
@Kidfried Splinter Cell has to be on the way, surely.
Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs 3 will be day one for me. I still need to play AC Odyssey.
I would love a new 3D Rayman, but that’s not gonna happen.
Hopefully Wildlands 2 is one of those games as I loved the first one.
I would love a new Splinter Cell too but only if it's more about stealth again than all guns blazing..
Watch Dogs 3 would be a day one for me IF the cast of the second game aren't in it...
I would like a new Watchdogs, I thought they did a good job improving the gameplay for the sequel. I still think the invading of other people’s games and trying to go unnoticed is one of the most innovative things in multiplayer in a long time.
@Kidfried True, but I’m waiting for so long now that I lost hope.
3 or 4 slightly above average but not great games wohoo!
a new Prince of Persia.and splinter cell.blacklist was amazing.word up son
You will not get me hyped for the possibility of Splinter Cell announcement. I won't let you. I refuse to be hurt again
Watch Dogs 3 seems like a safe bet for this year.
With Ubisoft's recent ventures into RPG mechanics and the hire of Mike Laidlaw, I would love to see what they could with a full blown fantasy RPG.
That would probably still be a few years off though.
Can we get Rayman 4, please!?
A sequel to Rayman Legends and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle would be really nice.
I must admit, I quite like Ubisoft. Yes, the formula is similar throughout most of their games but they're solid, often pretty and always chock full of things to do.
I'm looking forward to The Division 2 but I'd really love another Ghost Recon game like Wildlands and of course another RPG style Assassin's Creed.
Hoping for Watch Dogs 3 but only if it goes back to the tone of the first one which I feel was better then the sequel.
What about WiLD?
If we get a new Splinter Cell I really hope they don't make it another open world identikit Ubi special
I would love a new 3D Rayman plus the return of Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell, the latter is at least likely thankfully. I also think one of these could be another collaboration with Nintendo, maybe a sequel to Rabbids ?
I don't expect Beyond Good and Evil 2 until next gen now sadly.
hopefully something that's not assassin's creed, watch dogs, far cry, or ghost recon related.
I'm expecting Watch Dogs 3 this autumn (seeing as a new AC iteration isn't releasing in that window this year), which I would be happy about so long as it has less annoying side characters this time; Man Bun really got on my nerves in the last one and I've yet to even return to complete it, but I did love the gameplay and the MC was fine. Splinter Cell would be great IF it is in the style of the old games and isn't completely remodelled around the live service formula (probably will be), but reckon this may be one of the four, along with a new Ghost Recon possibly. What I'd like most is a decent reboot of Prince of Persia, but would be incredibly surprised if we got that! Think BG&E2 will be PS5, and not expecting that to be anything like the original, so very sceptical about it being of interest to me anyway at the mo!
@PS_Nation yes i want sequel game for Rayman. i love Rayman Legend on ps3 and ps4
I liked the look of that WiLD game. Is that just vaporware at this point? I’m actually tired of killing animals in open world games. That game looked like something a bit less cruel.
Watch Dogs 3 & Splinter Cell are without a doubt 2 of these 4, the leaks & Rumours have piled up so much that it's 99.9% happening.
As for the other 2? Well.....it definitely isn't any of these:
-11th Assassin's Creed (Already confirmed to skip 2019 so Late 2020 is set) mabye Cross Gen or PS5 launch title.
-Far Cry 6 will also be a likley next gen cross title in Early 2021
-Rainbow Six & Wildlands sequels are still a few years out in my opinion.
So it only leaves 2 possibilities as established franchises go.....A Driver reboot or a Prince Of Persia reboot along with one new IP.
-Watchdogs 3 (November 2019)
-Splinter Cell (December 2019)
-Prince Of Persia/Driver reboot (Early 2020)
-New IP (Spring 2020)
That would then leave
-Assassin's Creed (October 2020)
-Far Cry 6 (Early 2021)
And a new Tom Clancy game for Spring 2021, likley new Ghost Recon, not Wildlands 2.
Obviously i'm not an insider but i think I've nailed this timeline down to a Tee.
New Splinter Cell would be awesome
