Monster Hunter: World just had its first birthday, and boy has it done well for itself over the last 12 months. Not only did it claim the title of being Capcom's best selling game ever, it's also widely regarded as one of 2018's highest quality releases.
But the love doesn't end there. Capcom's revealed that Monster Hunter: World has now topped a massive 11 million copies worldwide, which is pretty darn impressive. That figure includes both shipped numbers and digital sales.
With its Iceborne expansion due out in the latter half of 2019, the beast-slaying title should be in for another great year -- and let's not forget that its Witcher crossover event is happening later this week.
Did you ever think World would be this successful? Bring down the mightiest of foes in the comments section below.

one of the best game I ever play.still playing it.capcom is backlinks.now give dragon dogma 2 word up son
I seriously need to get back into this game. I’m rusty as heck, I’m sure.
Best co-op game this gen. There is just nothing else that matches hunting with friends.
If this game ever moved from Nintendo it would fail...We still remember that we still do lmao.
@Hapuc Then MHGU comes to the West and we don’t have any hard numbers just VGChartz’ guess... (I think they guessed like 400K near 500K) more like If the MH franchise moves from Mehtendo AND NEVER COMES BACK it’ll see success & nothing more than success.
(Heck if Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was on all platforms I can see that game selling near 20M copies)
This is amazing, Totally deserved!
Fantastic... Great game!
Last year at this point I was all about MH:W. This year I have Kingdom Hearts 3.
PS4 just keeps on giving the hits. Good time!
This shows that you can still sell a complete game for 60 bucks with no microtransactions or paid dlc and make about 700 million dollars. EA and Activision could learn from this. Sometimes the old ways are still the best.
Well deserved sales this game in my opinion is the best co op multiplayer game ever and I already put over 500 hours into it
