Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown made a safe landing last week, and it's off to an impressive start in the UK chart. Though it misses out on the top spot, Bandai Namco will be happy with its second place debut, particularly as it comes with news of the biggest UK launch in the series' history. According to GamesIndustry, the PS4 version of the game saw 76% of the total sales, presumably in part due to the PSVR support included. As always, it's important to remember that this is only representative of physical sales.
Elsewhere, the chart is pretty standard fare. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are still up there in third and fourth place respectively, while FIFA 19 drops into fifth and Battlefield V slips out of the top 10, settling for 18th. The next couple of weeks should stir things up a bit as Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts III join the fray.

- Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
- FIFA 19

This is just physical, right?
Once the digital data comes in there’s a good chance AC7 takes the the top spot, as Nintendo don’t provide eShop numbers.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Still just physical, yeah. Supposedly we're getting digital and mixed charts soon.
Ace combat 7 could have been a real brake out title if only they made the whole campaign vr compatible. Still I expect it to be one the standout vr experiences to date, if you have the legs for it that is!!
Everyone of those games is a sequel or remaster.
Originality 0 - 1 Same old shi+
@BarFooToo or even bring out a VR mission a month until we get the whole game. I'd have got a VR for this game if it had more legs.
@themcnoisy I prefer to look at it as 'tried and tested'
@themcnoisy implying that in video games, sequels don't recurrently serve as vessels for new ideas and originality anyway. FIFA burnout much?
@Fight_Teza_Fight Itll be weird but safe to say the highest Nintendo will be in the combined charts is #10 on a good day.
Itll be incredibly skewed data but itll bw interesting to see how much digital really impacts things.
@Quintumply from what has been tweeted a combined digital/physical should be some point this week.
This chart by GFK will still be published every Sunday week prior to GSD creating a new seperate chart a few days later with most major publishers on board.
@Knuckles-Fajita the two published charts will make for interesting comparison reading for sure.
There's a cool AC7 free theme on ps store. The F14 one.
