Shadow of the Tomb Raider’s extensive (and, some might argue, expensive) DLC schedule trots on with a nightmarish expansion fittingly named, well, The Nightmare. Due out on 22nd January, the DLC pack will challenge players to “explore Croft Manor in a harrowing trial unlike anything Lara has experience before”.
We suppose the problem with post-release schedules like this is that, er, with the greatest of respect to the action adventure title, hasn’t everyone already moved on? No doubt a handful of stragglers will get their money’s worth out of this, and it’s important the developer Eidos Montreal fulfils its end of the bargain, but… Yeah. We wonder how much interest there actually is at this point.

I haven't played this game yet, so maybe I'll give this a shot when I get around to it!
If it's interesting I might give it a try. But honestly, being a gamer that always plays everything late (Shadow included), DLCs tend to not appeal to me. Between moving on to the next game and extending one with DLC, I choose the first option 9/10 times.
Sounds like the DLC that was packaged in with Rise where you stealth around a specific part of the game with creatures wandering around and you start with nothing and have to find your equipment.
That was a lot of stressful fun.
I really enjoyed Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but I haven’t played any of the DLC. As a general rule, I’m not a fan of DLC, especially pre-planned DLC. For Lara, I might go back and play the DLC later, but we’ll see.
I enjoyed the game and I’m enjoying the DLC. Looking forward to this.
I grabbed the game for half off and the pass for half off once this comes out I'll get down to it.
@shonenjump86
Same. I already pre-purchased the DLC so no reason to ignore it. Just @get2sammyb low-key bashing the new take on Tomb Raider... again.
@Gamer83 I beat the other ones that were released so far. I believe there are time challenges for them as well so I need to take a crack at those too.
And this is only the third out of seven DLC’s! I bought the Croft edition so I look forward to getting back into it once a month. I would prefer if the base game had a bit more replay-ability though, once the enemies are dead, there’s no more, which kinda sucks!
I'm still not ready to buy this yet. I haven't recovered from playing Rise of the Tomb Raider as I found that a bit of a slog at the end. I'll probably wait for the next Christmas Steam Sale for this one.
Purchased the Croft Edition in the PSN January sale and currently midway through the campaign. So i'm happy there's more content coming whilst my interest continues @get2sammyb
... Although i suspect that to change when KH3 releases in 2 weeks time. Waited half my life (Literally) for that!
Well seems almost the dlc from the first game!
Anyone else thinks season passes are dying? Sure it's fun to continue playing the games you like, but at the ridiculous prices that passes are nowadays it's way better to save for a new game than to get the pass...
Besides most passes nowadays are just mediocre or bad.
The argument that "have people moved on" is probably why Spider-Man released DLC in an episodic format just keep player interest. It's why companies announce DLC before release so that people know that there will be guaranteed support.
@Gamer83 You are right the reason for was the game there was better stuff and somehow i have not bought any reboot Tomb Raider game at release. The complete package will be bought.
@AFCC The problem with a seasonpass for me is i rather get the complete game and play it all at once. Thats why is skip liveservice games i rather get something new and fresh. I dont want a future with one 3 games that keep me tied down.
I only started this game a few days ago, so I'm all-in for more content.
Got the base game for like £17 may get the pass even it drops below £10 to be honest they should have just included all of this (cut) content with the base game. To say thank you for playing and going out with a little bit of a bang considering this is the weakest of the 3 I haven't got round to playing it yet, my girlfriend loves these games but played for about 2 days and hasn't touched it since.
I'm just waiting for Square Enix to re-release the inevitable 'definitive edition' for Shadow before buying it
"(and, some might argue, expensive)"
Considering all the sales and price drops the base game has had, I think it evens out.
@RenanKJ they not forcing you to get the dlc's
@Flaming_Kaiser yap! I'm done with Episodic games too for example
