On the brink of releasing Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown on PS4, Bandai Namco has posted yet another video on the fighter jet action game. The topic this time is the PlayStation VR support included in the new title which, for some, is the real draw. Flying a supersonic plane, shooting bogeys out of the sky, and performing sweet air stunts in virtual reality? Count us in.

The video features a couple of people from developer Project Aces as they discuss their approach to bringing Ace Combat and PSVR together. Jun Tamaoki was brought in to lead VR development, and with his help, progress on this aspect of the game was much faster, says brand director Kazutoki Kono. He also stipulated that you only see from the perspective of the pilot at all times to keep you immersed in the experience.

It's an interesting video, and has plenty of footage from the VR mode to give you a taste of what it offers. We'll be able to talk about Ace Combat 7's PSVR support, and the game as a whole, in our review, which should show up on your radar soon.
