Despite underperforming at physical retail compared to its predecessor, FIFA 19 is number one for its second week on sale. The drop from last week's sales numbers is 64 per cent, which actually isn't too bad for a game -- especially one that will likely have far longer legs than many of the other titles currently in the charts. Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches in second place with a weaker launch than last year's entry, but as GamesIndustry points out, it's released nearly a month earlier in the year, so the comparison is a little skewed.
Elsewhere, Marvel's Spider-Man has crawled down to fourth place thanks to another new entry, the Xbox exclusive Forza Horizon 4. The lower end of the top 10 sees some interesting re-entries from games like Tekken 7 and Project CARS 2, which climb to 7th and 9th respectively.
It's less good news for the stellar PlayStation VR title, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, however. The lovable VR platformer debuts at number 22 -- hopefully it'll see a boost in the run up to the festive season.

I really hope Astro Bot has great legs. I can’t remember ever having this much fun with a platformer.
It probably did do better digitally (that’s how I bought it anyways) & the games media are only just starting to get around to reviewing it.
@suikoden It’s pretty common actually. Skyrim VR outsold Skyrim Switch at launch iirc.
Farpoint was #2 at launch & was only outsold by the multiplatform Injustice 2.
I think people got caught off guard by Astro Bot (metacritic score).

@naruball @Fight_Teza_Fight Whether a title makes the top 10, doesn't say that much. Competition for the top 10 in October is way stiffer than in May.
@Kidfried GTA V’s placement is a good indicator though. Total # of consoles sold in a week = total number of GTA V sold that week lol.

Yeah I'm confident VR games skew digitally. Stuff like Farpoint's generally done better at retail because it's bundled with the Aim Controller.
Word of mouth is great for Astro Bot so I'm sure the little guy's going to do just fine.

If I had a PSVR, I would definitely buy it, the game looks incredible.
@naruball I would imagine most buy VR games digitally, I know I do as it doesn't make sense to keep removing the headset to swap discs, Farpoint would be the exception due to it being bundled with the aim controller and of course there is the much smaller user base too. As I type this I scroll up and see @get2sammyb has basically said the same thing 😂
I have to say that's a bit disappointing for Assassin's Creed given FIFA's drop, maybe people are still wary of yearly releases? Having played through both Origins and Far Cry 5 I can't face another Ubisoft game for a while. Likely the main reason will be the looming release of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Hope Astro Bot sells well in the run up to Christmas. I generally prefer to buy VR games digitally. More convenient.
Also, as most stores don't stock many, if any VR games I'm presuming this is another reason why it hasn't sold so well physically. It's so hard to find.
I bought Astrobot digital yesterday.Absolutely fantastic VR game that is without a doubt the best game for the system!I don't remember having as much fun with any game for VR or one that causes me to have a stupid big grin plastered over my face the whole time I'm playing it!lol
Astrobot deserves to be at a much higher place than it currently is.I really hope more people buy it.
