Shenmue II Master the Wild Throw Move from the Kung Fu School in Wan Chai Guide 1

Shenmue and its successor Shenmue II are essentially coming of age stories, and protagonist Ryo Hazuki will absorb a ton of information across the course of both games. One thing that the character learns are new moves, but these can be missable at times. One move in particular, the Wild Throw, will be taught to you at the Guang Martial Arts School by its master Zhoushan Xuan. Learning it will unlock the ‘Back to School’ Trophy.

How to Master the Wild Throw Move from the Kung Fu School in Wan Chai in Shenmue II

In order to master the Wild Throw move from the kung fu school in Wan Chai in Shenmue II, and unlock the ‘Back to School’ Trophy in the process, you need to progress through the story to the point where you learn about the Chawan signs from Guixhang at Yan Tin Apartments. Go to the Man Mo Bistro in the Wise Man’s Qtr and arrange the cups in the pattern on the paper from inside Yuanda Zhu’s book. You’ll get a note telling you to head to the Come Over Guest House.

Now what’s key is that you make your way to the Come Over Guest House via the South Carmain Qtr. Doing so means that you’ll be forced to pass the Guang Martial Arts School on your way, and you’ll trigger a cut-scene featuring Mingzhen Ye who’ll tell you that Zhoushan Xuan wants to see you. Head inside the kung fu school and he’ll over to teach you the Wild Throw move. Accept and complete the tutorial. You’ll unlock the ‘Back to School’ Trophy once the scene has concluded.
