The Sinking City looks super cool. Created by Sherlock Holmes developer Frogwares, it retains many of the investigation elements of the popular franchise, but it stretches the formula over a Lovecraftian horror open world. Essentially you’ll be travelling Oakmont picking up clues, but it’ll be down to you to put two-and-two together.
There are no waypoints or map markers: you actually need to pay attention to the hints you’re being given in order to figure out what’s going on and where to go. There’s certainly some jankiness to this alpha demo, but we like what we’re seeing, and we’re looking forward to learning more in the run up to the title’s 21st March launch.

This looks great. I like those Sherlock Holmes games, and this is shaping up nicely too.
this will be a game that will go under the radar like all the sherlock games but i know i will love it.
good concept needs polish definitely.
Looks like this may have came from the time when they were named to develop the Call of Cthulu Game. This looks more to my liking than what we are getting form that, one, because I prefer the 3rd Person Perspective, and two, because frogwares have put out some pretty decent adventures with the recent Sherlock Holmes games.
Looks really good. Ill buy it for sure
Really interested in this
I'm buying this. The Sherlock games had their problems, voice a ring gave me nightmares, but still enjoyed my time. I guess that's good enough.
neat
tidy
I've never played Sherlock Holmes-esque games before but this seriously tempts me..especially since it's also a horror shooter.
Very interesting!
I did not know that Frogwares was making this game. I have little interest in Lovecraftian fiction, but the company's take on the detective genre with Sherlock was right up my alley so I will be picking this one up after seeing the demo. Thank you for calling attention to the game @get2sammyb as it would have flown under my radar.
