Listen, we're still not quite sold on the idea of an always online, always multiplayer Fallout game, but we won't deny that there's potential in the concept. Whether Fallout 76 can deliver, however, is yet to be seen, but at least this latest Vault Tec infomercial presents a decent overview of what you can expect from the upcoming release.
The trailer squeezed a few chuckles out of us with its typically dark but daft humour, so it's well worth a watch.

Not really a fan of the Fallout series, but I do like these little animated videos.
I suspect none of that will happen, and it will look more like a regular match in Fortnite or PUBG.
The trouble is, barely anyone actually plays games like these the way the developer intended. It's a nice idea but it will probably be just another multiplayer game where the dedicated few completely dominate the entire thing and make it less fun for those casual players with less time. I could be wrong and I am curious to se how it turns out.
@NintendoFan4Lyf liking this has nothing to do with liking open world games.
the majority of the fallout fanbase loves open world RPG's but despise this game because it goes against what makes fallout so great.
and tbh i doubt the open world will be interesting. since the only human characters you encounter are other players makes it a dull world imo.
the npc's in SP fallout games made those worlds so nice because they where all special and had some background to them, can't realy have that with other players that are doing the same thing as you.
@NintendoFan4Lyf ''🤷♂️'' what does that mean??
@Quintumply Ha, I was going to say a similar thing. I’ve played and completed 3 and New Vegas, started 4 ages ago and dip into it every now and then. But I always enjoy these little infomercial type vids, they’re fun. No real interest in 76 tho...yet 🤔
@NintendoFan4Lyf A figure with its hands up in the air, and the ''male'' symbol. All rather confusing!
@NintendoFan4Lyf It has quests (Or what Fallout 76 considers quests, I don't know what they'll be like), but they're given out by robot NPCs. It doesn't have any NPC human characters or enemies...
I don't know what Bethesda is thinking with this. I just don't think there is a big market for a game like this. It's almost ten years too late!... Oh, well. Saves me $60.
The part where he stuck his finger in the gun and was blown apart made me laugh.
Classic Looney Tunes gone wrong.
As comical as the video was, it just shown the usual experience in an MMORPG i.e. make friends, make enemies.
How would V.A.T.S work with other players in the world? That’s what I’d like to know.
@MaccaMUFC It's kind of an aim assist only it's now in realtime, no pause.
@Kidfried The whole point of it being in pause/slow motion is so you could plan which body part you want to target, that’s going to be difficult to do in real-time and while being attacked. Since it was announced as online only I knew this was going to be the first Fallout game I wouldn’t be buying day one, still going to rent this to see how it plays.
@MaccaMUFC I tend to agree. VATS gave the battles a bit of a turn-based-vibe, which I dug a lot and fit so well with the series. They could still make a good game despite that, but I'm cautious.
Funny! So, the wat to stop trolls from trolling is to ask them not to do it? Hmmm, I wonder
Loved the animated video but doubt I'll be playing the game.
Hopefully we won't have to wait long for the next single player Fallout.
