To be this good takes ages – or just a brilliant pop-up book with paper-based versions of SEGA’s most iconic arcade cabinets. Check out this bundle of amazingness:
The SEGA Arcade: Pop-Up History includes sculptures of various classic cabinets from the Japanese company, including Space Harrier, Hang-On, and – our personal favourite – OutRun. Each of the models comes with schematics, art, and additional context from ex-Guardian scribe Keith Stewart.
The book’s up for pre-order now on Kickstarter, with a £40,000 target. It’s already half-way towards its goal, with almost a month left to run. You better believe this author’s just backed this absolute beauty – and you should, too.

This is pretty cool! Imagine seeing one with classic PS1 games ^^
😢.....🤣 Um, you mean something like this? 👻
@ApostateMage it didn’t go as high as I expected it to, Trump never saw it and the crowd was tiny. Bit of a damp squib for me to be honest.
This book is on my want list.
SEGA books do what Nintendoesn'ts.
Yikes. Somebody call Poirot, there's been a murder. Don't worry, I'll confess.
