We know that Bethesda likes to launch its games quite quickly following their initial reveals, so we wouldn't be at all surprised to see the recently announced Fallout 76 release this year. However, according to the title's original Amazon product page, the game could actually hit store shelves as early as next month. Now that would be quick.
Said Amazon page has now been updated with a placeholder date of the 31st December 2018, but before that, it was down for the 31st July 2018. It's possible that the online retailer made a mistake and added the correct date before Bethesda's even had a chance to show the game at E3 later this week. What's more, the 31st July is a Tuesday, so it fits the bill.
Could you see Fallout 76 launching as early as next month? Stagger out of your vault and wander into the comments section below.

Stranger things have happened - if they do have another announcement for this year, they'll want a bit of space between them and (if) its an online MP, they'll want to get out ahead of RDR2 and COD/BF etc.
Yeah why not
I am skeptical.
I think it could be soon but that seems a bit too soon.
There won't be much competition in the middle of the summer as in autumn (looking at you red dead), so It's not entirely impossible to happen.
Hope so. Don't see why not if they have been working on it for a while.
If true I prefer new game reveals this way instead of waiting years for a game to be released since its first reveal.
Do we still need E3? It's more like a formal event confirming all the leaks at this point.
They released fallout 4 shortly after announcing it. So I wouldn't be surprised.
@Octane This exactly lol. Pretty rare for games to stay secretive until their E3 announcements.
A release as soon as next month or even August would be great. Like Fallout 4 it would be released the same year as revealed. I like that more than watching trailers and teasers of games at E3 that are 2-4 years away from actual release.
So it's hardly been in development and they want to release it and add to it like an early access game or it has been for a few years and they've kept it dead silent about it which is amazing now a days .
Wouldn't be that hard to release an "early access" game based on the already very dated Fallout 4 engine and turn a decent profit, if they are indeed joining the online survival genre.
