Rocket League, the perennially popular arcade sports game, is getting another content update, and it's very much Summer themed. From 29th May, Salty Shores will be available as a free update to the game, and as usual, it brings with it a variety of new toys to play with.

First and foremost is the new arena, which takes Rocket League to a fun-filled beach, with a cheerful backdrop featuring fairground rides and a sunny boardwalk. It'll be joining the regular stage rotation.

Elsewhere, this update marks the beginning of Competitive Season 8, and it also includes a bunch of new cosmetic items, such as beach ball goal explosions, sandcastle hats, bubble blower antennae, and plenty more. A new car named Twinzer will be available too, and some new music is being added to the playlist. There's also mention of an event named Beach Blast, but details are light at the moment. All we know is that it begins on 11th June and ends on 2nd July, and that more on the event will be shared closer to the time.

Anyway, check out the 90s-flavoured trailer above. Will you be heading to the beach in Rocket League next week? Don't forget the sun block in the comments below.
