Only Rockstar could generate so much instant hype by announcing a trailer. Our next look at Red Dead Redemption 2 will arrive later this week, on the 2nd May. That's Wednesday, for those of you who are totally out of the loop.
The developer also posted a quick teaser on Twitter, which we've embedded below.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is due out on the 26th October, and although it's still a decent ways off, it's already got numerous publishers scrambling to avoid it.

I tend not to watch more than 1 trailer for any game or movie. I find the experience tends to start being ruined past that point as more and more things get revealed. Nintendo basically revealed the entire game with Breath of the Wild trailers before it even came out, for example.

@ShadowWarrior We want it but it is not possible because of PS3's complicated structure. I am calling it right now that PS5 will be BC.
I'm hoping we get a bit of a gameplay trailer. I don't want to watch too many trailers so that I can go in fresh with the story but I'm Keen to see what the actually gameplay looks like

As good as people think God of War is - and I think its a fantastic game too - i really do think this is going to be the Game of the Year. Its telling that even the 'juggernauts' like Call of Duty have moved their release date forward to before this releases instead of the first week in November.
I can't wait - Will have to get Spider-Man and Shadow of the Tomb Raider completed before this arrives...

@rjejr It's crazy how good the soundtrack in that film is.
The first game is a masterpiece, including the amazing expansion Undead Nightmare, but I'm really worried that the main focus will be the online mode just like what happened with GTA V.
GTA V could have amazing dlcs just like GTA IV and Red Dead, but Rockstar only focused on multiplayer events. The campaign and Los Santos had so much potential for a great SP campaign, even the story wasn't great like the earlier Rockstar games.
Anyway, this game will be day one, but it's almost certain that we will not have a cool feature like Undead Nightmare, or it will be an event on multiplayer.
New trailer with a new release date?
i want to look forward to this game,but after gta online and the new focus on online and even battle royale,i feel that this game will not deliver on the SP.
i just can't like it if this game will be infected by the online crap that gta v has.

@PS_Nation I agree. The only thing that could hold this game back quite a lot is how much money they made from GTA Online.
I hope this looks good because honestly I think GTAV looks pretty lousy graphically by today’s standards. I played the Detroit Become Human demo and then went to the PS store and was looking around and watched the trailers for GTAV and was shocked at how horrible it looked in comparison.
I'll wait to see how much of the single player will be eaten up by the Online multiplayer and microtransactions first.
I'm avoiding all trailers, still need to play the first game on my PS3 and beat it.
However I'm probably gonna wait a year or so, to see if they do remaster/port the first game for PS4.
Oh, good, another hint towards a tease for an announcement of a sneak preview of a teaser trailer, ahead of a full trailer just before a hands-off gameplay demonstration of a forthcoming hands-on beta demo, to be released a few weeks before the actual gosh-darn game arrives.

@PS_Nation I hear you, but I don't think we need to worry. The GTA Online crowd want fast cars and swanky apartments, while the closest thing the Wild West has to bling is a spittoon. I can't see Red Dead Online being anywhere near as popular, and I think they'll go all out on the narrative for this one
(you're right though, no SP DLC for GTA V was a massive missed opportunity)
