The Last of Us: Part II’s panel at PSX 2017 was a fun watch, as host Hannah Hart grilled a visibly restrained Neil Druckmann on specifics about the game, but he did give away a few tidbits. Perhaps most notable is confirmation that the title is approximately 50 to 60 per cent complete. Druckmann was guesstimating, but it sounds like the title’s coming together nicely.
Judging from the tone of the discussion, it also appears that a gameplay demo is already up and running internally, and this will be showcased at E3 2018, so that’s something to look forward to. Elsewhere, Druckmann confirmed that a portion of the release is set in Seattle, as has been rumoured for months on sites like Reddit. So yeah, still not much to go on – but our hype levels are through the roof.
