Hands up if you know Sengoku Basara. Just a few of you? The people with the anime avatars? Okay, so it's not the most popular action series ever, but the property has pumped out some enjoyable hack and slashers over the years.
Sadly, the Japanese series hasn't made it overseas in quite some time. The last instalment we got was Sengoku Basrara: Samurai Heroes on the PlayStation 3, and that launched all the way back in 2010. Japan's had a couple of entries since then, but there's never really been much talk of them heading West.
Hopefully that changes next year, then, as producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has teased a new game, saying that it'll be revealed in 2018.
Come on, Capcom, bring the Basara back our way.

Put ya guns on
Hey, I don't have an anime profile picture. But.... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I still play Sumeragi 4 from time to time. Truly one of the silliest PS4 games to date. I hope it's closer to a Sengoku Basara 5 than it is another spin off like Yukimura-den. It was still a fun game, but it just didn't hold my attention as well.
I love sengoku basara! More than Samurai Warriors and I really love SW too!
And it's a fire emblem pic...in anime style...it does count?
Don't get your hopes up.
Well crap, I just got pegged.
Maybe it's time to announce Sengoku Basara 5 in December 2018, and will have release for January 2020.
