Sony’s temporarily slashed the price of the PlayStation 4 Pro in the UK – pretty heavily, too. At the time of typing, you can currently snag Sony’s supercharged system alongside Call of Duty: WWII and either FIFA 18 or Gran Turismo Sport for £299.99. Factor in the price of the software, and you’re effectively getting the 4K format for little over £200 – which is seriously aggressive when you consider Microsoft’s flogging the Xbox One X for £450 this Christmas.

Was really hoping Sony would bundle the Pro with some of it’s exclusives rather than some 3rd party games. There must be people out there like me who just want a PS4 to play exclusives.
@MaccaMUFC Just sell/trade the games for the ones you want. You'll get good money on CoD and FIFA if you keep them sealed.
I live in New York.I already got my ps4 pro.I bought a brand new ps4 pro for 360$.good price.and it was the last ps4 pro available.the ps4 pro is beautiful💖.word up son
Wow, that's a pretty good deal for a Pro. Wish they'd do something like that here, I might consider trading in my OG PS4 for a Pro.
@get2sammyb Do you think Sony will release an upgraded version of the Pro like they did the PS4 Slim?
@starhops Like a smaller design? Very possibly, yes.
I'm hoping to pick a Pro up in the U.S. if it gets a black Friday discount.
@get2sammyb Haha, yeah. I guess "upgrade" wasn't the best word there. I doubt they would make any hardware changes, do you? Like a 4K player?
@starhops Don't think so. I'm sure I'll get piled on, but I think they made the right move not including a 4K Blu-ray player — I can't imagine many people are buying movies in that format.
In before someone links me to some article proving that the market is there.
@get2sammyb True. I sure don't own any and the way of disc players is slowly declining. I blame Apple. If 4K streaming becomes the norm, why have a 4K player? I'll be picking up a PS4 Pro this holiday season if I find a good price. Then the 4K TV. Time for some quality-of-life choices for myself.
@get2sammyb @starhops To be honest when I bought an XB1 S and then upgraded to an X, I’ve not once used the 4K Blu-Ray player, it’s like £20 for a new released 4K HDR dvd, when a standard one of the same dvd will just cost £8 or normal Blu-Ray at £12. It doesn’t help that more people watch pirate copies than those who buy the dvds at shops/online. I watch movies on Sky Movies, Netflix and Amazon Video. Unless there is ever a 4K HDR version of Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan, I’ll never pay £20 for a dvd. Imagine a 4K HDR boxset? You’ll probably be looking at paying at least £50-£60! (Again Band of Brothers would be an exception).
@get2sammyb
I still think the choice not to include a 4K player was a bad one but I'll admit I don't buy movies physically anymore. The few movies I do feel are worth buying I just pre-order off the PlayStation Store and then have it ready to go the day it's out. Much more convenient.
Honestly, the only discs I buy physically these days are video games. I don't think that will change unless all-digital is forced on us.
