A third God Eater game has been revealed – although platforms are being kept under wraps for the time being. Following on from PlayStation 4 and Vita entry God Eater 2: Rage Burst, the demon slaying series will once again go up against Monster Hunter, as it attempts to repurpose its anime-inspired demon destroying blueprint one more time.
Here’s a quote from the press release: “Team up with your other God Eaters to take down monstrous new Aragami that are tearing apart locations around the globe. But this won’t be your only mission: something is happening to the God Eaters – and the line between dark and light has never been so thin.”
There’s a trailer embedded above, but no release window has been revealed just yet. As mentioned earlier, the publisher’s also keeping platforms under wraps, but we’re going to assume that it’ll release on the PS4 at the very least. Are you looking forward to more God Eater? Put the excellent Monster Hunter: World to the back of your mind in the comments section below.

The God Eater games are pretty good, but they lack the polish and the edge of something like Monster Hunter. If you want an anime-style take on creature culling they're worth a look, hopefully this one will push the series forward.
Would only be interested if this made it to vita, which I doubt at this point.
I enjoy the games in small bites, but I hope they scale back the story missions. 160+ for GE2 was ridiculous.
PS4, Xbox One, PC. At least that's what I reckon. Its the market for these games. Well, maybe not Xbox One in Japan but definitely west.
@BLP_Software I think Switch to.
@Flaming_Kaiser We said that about Code: Vein, we were wrong.
Then again,this is Bandai Namco, so they'll do what they did with DBZ Fighters, and now Project Cars 2. "Show us there is interest" and all those tweets and stuff is free press for the other versions of the game, and we still wont get a Switch version anyway. Its clever but dickish.
ALRIGHT! a new God Eater Game, Might as well continue with GE:R and GE2:RB right away
@BLP_Software Pretty sure this type of game doesn't have a market on Xbox period. It'll probably come to it anyways like Code Vein, but both games are gonna flop hard on Xbox.
No Vita version, then... Thankfully, Switch is a progressively safer bet with every 100k units sold, and that's where I'll be looking forward to it. Started the first game even despite already having MH4U and haven't regretted it so far - this take on the formula has a plot and a lore to catch my attention (in fact, I spent most of my starting hour reading the in-game database), double melee/ranged weapons in various combinations, some very impressive music and Ufotable on the animated cutscenes. Still interested in MH and not intending to doubt its merits in any way, but this series (and possibly Toukiden) will likely keep me busier in this particular genre instead.
It might be something I'd really like, but I don't expect to enjoy it as much as Monster Hunter, especially when the next Monster Hunter game is looking set to be one of the best ones yet.
Can't wait for this one. The art of GE2 was beautiful.
Rouge Trooper Redux is also another upcoming title that's worth checking out. http://universaldirection.com/rogue-trooper-redux/
Unless MS or Nintendo offered a hefty sum of money I'd imagine a PS4 release is likely. Didn't play 2 but Resurrection is a pretty solid game.
