EA Sports has revealed the ten highest rated players in FIFA 18, and you won't be winning any of our precious custard creams for guessing who's sitting pretty at number one. Yep, it's none other than old Ronny himself, with an overall rating of 94. We suppose having his face on the game's box wasn't enough, eh?
Here's the full top ten, followed by their overall ratings, for those wondering:
Top Ten FIFA 18 Players
- Ronaldo (94)
- Messi (93)
- Neymar (92)
- Suarez (92)
- Neuer (92)
- Lewandowski (91)
- Ramos (90)
- Hazard (90)
- Kroos (90)
- Higuain (90)
Was it ever going to be anyone else? What do you make of the top ten? Disagree massively in the comments section below.

Knack!?!?
@TheIronChimp How is he over rated? You can not like him, but surely you can't argue with his achievements?
I thought Ragnar Klaven would be up there...
@TheIronChimp
La Liga > Prem
Brits sure are deluded.
I take the grace & flair of La Liga over the hoof n' hope mentality of the premier league any day of the week.
La Liga scrubs go on to dominate the prem for a reason.
I guessed Messi. Not too bad I suppose considering I don't follow soccer. I mean football.
Even looking at the cover and the pick I'd still guess Messi. Ronaldo's name always makes me think of Maradona for some reason so I sort of forget he exists. I don't know the other 8 names on that list.
@Fight_Teza_Fight To be fair, the Premier League is a much tougher overall league. I would agree that the top teams in La Liga are considerably stronger than the top teams in the PL at this moment in time, but there are no free passes in the PL — even teams in the bottom slots are incredibly difficult to beat.
@rjejr Surely Neymar's been getting some press in the States this Summer? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40762417
Griezmann should definitely be up there...
Those ratings feel outdated though. Robben a higher rating than Pogba, how? And Ronaldo is overrated, he's not that good anymore.
@get2sammyb Did he punch his wife in the face in an elevator? Kneel during the national anthem? All of our athletes are overpaid, 1 of yours isn't going to get noticed over here.

I may have seen the name Neymar in 1 of your tweets or something, but it's not a name I would see and say - oh, he's a football player. Messi, I don't even know why I know his name other than he's a famous footballer. I think I know 1 big name per year or so. I am actually surprised I don't know the other 8 guys on that list, surely there must be some other big names in soccer these days that I should know? I guess they have short careers and I only know their names after they retire? Has Beckham retired yet? Him I know, though probably more for his lifestyle than his game. I'm pretty sure I saw the film "Bend it Like Beckham" before I knew who he was. Good flick, can't believe it's 15 years already. Think I've seen every Kiera Knightly film since then.
@get2sammyb I'd say the prem is the most competitive league in the world. However, the standard isn't very high imo and that's why they get exposed time and time again. How many times have the media hyped a player to be the next big thing only to flounder on the world stage?
Since 2000:
Europa/Uefa cup was claimed 8 times by La Liga, 2 times by Prem
UCL was claimed 9 times by La Liga, 2 times by prem
Anyways imo Ronaldo & Messi should be ranked well above everyone else. Nobody touches them.
Higuain at 90 is a joke. Biggest big game choker in modern football. Modric and Griezmann are unlucky to miss out.
I hate that guys smug FACE.
@TheIronChimp He won enough prices in the Premier League when he played there.
@Fight_Teza_Fight Ligue 1 is the nost competitive. More different winners in the last decade than the other top leagues.
Can't really argue there, both he and Messi scores goals for fun.
@get2sammyb As I was saying...

@rjejr While the finances are still astronomical, you need to do a currency conversion on that Neymar contract: it's worth £400 million, so $530 million!
@get2sammyb so $530 million
Oh yeah, forgot about that. OK, that's alot. Insanely stupid a lot. Like why buy 1 player when you can buy a whole team alot. Guess I should start following him on twitter and assign him to pay me to stop.
What a surprise...the player on the front of the box is also the highest rated!! Coincidence, or am I getting cynical in my old age?!? Can't stand the man, but also can't deny his talent (much like I can't stand Lewis Hamilton but can't deny his talent either).
