Destiny 2's first Raid, which went live earlier today, was beaten in around six hours by The Legend Himself. That's the clan name, by the way, not some ultimate solo Destiny player. We won't spoil anything regarding the Raid here, but if you want to see the final moments of the team's triumph, then check out this clip.
Brilliantly, Bungie watched the whole thing unfold, and the developer even posted a video of the studio celebrating the world's first successful run. You can give that a watch through here.
What's more, following the completion of the Raid, Bungie has released a new Crucible map named Emperor's Respite for free. Not bad, eh?
Have you attempted the Raid yet? How did it go? Struggle to get your team organised in the comments section below.

Damn congrats we are stuck on the damn dog part. Finally passed the dog part now at the end fight with emperor Calus about to beat this **** lol
Nice. Honestly I'm surprised they managed it without me.
I've been hammering the trial of the first Destiny and I'm really enjoying it this time. I've tried all the classes and, although the very early level cap, I think I favour the Titan at this stage. I'm gonna buy the Destiny Collection and if I don't get sick of the grind I'll pick this up down the line.
Think I'll giving it a go tonight with some friends. Going in blind is the way to go, it's much more fun that way.
Ready for 99999 fall deaths, accidental rocket launcher hitting team mate deaths, stamped on by something and whatever else is to come!
@dark_knightmare2 Careful with the language!
Yes we gave it a go as soon as it released Last night, we got quite far obviously with no help. I love figuring it out, the raid itself is massive I think it's the biggest raid yet. We are finishing it tonight again with no help, because that's the whole fun of it.
@ShogunRok Any idea when the Destiny review will be up?
@PostmanPatinator Later today!
@ShogunRok okay cheers look forward to it!
How does this beating the raid thing works? And can you play it as many times as you like? Is it really that hard?
@AFCC Yeah you can play it as many times as you like. There are lots of puzzles (difficult platforming, things to open etc.) that require team work and co-ordination. That generally extends to the bosses and sub-bosses so you might have 3 of the members off doing something else in different rooms that needs to be done in co-ordination to bring down a shield so the other 3 can cause damage to the boss.
Once everyone knows what they are doing you can do it without communicating but it only takes 1 or 2 people not playing as a team and it'll stop everyone from progressing.
I havn't done that many of em though myself.
@ShogunRok sorry
Hitting it up tonight blind with the clan, cannot wait
