Head over to the PlayStation Store right now and you can download a playable demo for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. The hectic action role-playing game scored an 8/10 in our review, so we reckon you should definitely give it a fair shot.
The demo weighs in at around 800MB, and for some reason, it's misspelled on the PlayStation Store as "Lacrismosa". We guess that's what happens when you get sick of double-checking nonsensical Japanese subtitles.

Such an underrated franchise ...I really hope it will find many new fans on the much more mainstream PS4. At least give this demo a whirl, people!
It might be something that I'd rather enjoy. I wasn't planning on buying this title, but I may as well try out the demo and see if that changes my mind.
Hmmm. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Wow, 2 demos in 1 day? It's like the 2000's all over again. 😆
I tried it. It's not YS, this game is more tales than YS.
@Pamela I love Tales, so this sounds a lot like praise for the title.
Regardless, free stuff is free stuff, so i'm interested in giving it a shot.
I like tales too but I wanted a YS game. I hope you like it, it's good just not what I was expecting.
Nice, I bought nier automata after trying the demo and plan to buy knack 2 after finished the demo last night, more demo is a good thing
Couldn't find this on the NA psn store, Knack2 demo is there but it won't let me download lol
Good grief. How do the male protagonists ever get anything done? With the costumes their gameworld females wear, you would have only one thing on your mind.. always. Boing!
