The scariest thing you’ll see this Hallowe’en may be a copy of Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back on store shelves. The bizarre platforming comeback will launch 31st October on the PlayStation 4 – both digitally on the PlayStation Store and physically at “Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and other select online retailers”.
The retail version will cost $39.99, and comes with the game on Blu-ray, as well as a soundtrack, business card, and post card. You can check out a new trailer embedded above – but be sure to pinch yourself afterwards. You’re not dreaming: there really is a new Bubsy game on the way.

...what could possibly go wrong?
Day one!
As in I'll be killing myself the day this hits the shelves!
Aaaalll aboard!
I mean, it'll probably be better than Bubsy 3D, but that trailer isn't selling it. I actually quite enjoyed Bubsy on the Mega Drive at the time, but I can't get excited by this. Those one liners will be the death of this game, I'm fairly certain.
Oh yeah, forgot that a new Bubsy game was coming...crap....
i was hoping this was just a joke but it's not
@Quintumply "So you wanna be a video game star?"
Oh hey, that's not too FUR off. This game looks PAWsitively PURRfect. Other games should really worry about releasing so CLAWS to Bubsy's launch. But enough KITTEN around. This game is going to be a true MEOWsterpiece. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? :3
Did the island of misfit mascots burn down or something?
Can't wait for Gex, Glover, and Croc to make their grand returns!
@Ralizah
Any one of those three would have been a better idea than this. My personal preference in this case is Gex.
Why not go 2,5D with quality sprites. Instead of 3D mediocre graphics. I would love to see FF6 with Odin Sphere quality sprites.
A lot of one liners in this game. It fits the character, I'll give it that much.
If this trailer doesn't warn you enough, I'll gladly add it's from the creators of the horrible Giana Sisters-games.
Oh, and you forgot about Vexx Ralizah.
@Lumine yup. I was quoting his uhh...catchphrase. If you can call it that...
