Fully revealed during Microsoft's E3 2017 press conference, the terribly named Dragon Ball FighterZ looks like the hardcore Dragon Ball fighting game that we've always wanted. Its first gameplay trailer is frantic and looks downright gorgeous - the title seems to be using the same tech as the incredibly pretty Guilty Gear Xrd series. Obviously it's being developed by Arc System Works - a studio that really knows its beat-'em-ups. It's coming to PS4 in 2018.

I want this game! I am a fan, as it is obvious from my avatar.
I don't like Dragon Ball, but even I liked the look of this.
Big DBZ fan, but can't stand the games. Haven't played them in years. But this game here will change all of that.
Hate DBZ, but the style of this game is super cool. Looks like it'll even be fun to just watch.
Don't know anything about DB, but this has piqued my interest.
Looks amazing! Sign me up!
Looks great. Glad they're going back to the Budokai style of fighting.
@shonenjump86 Same here. I've only enjoyed a few DBZ games over the years.
And I still need to get around to playing Xenoverse, soon as I own a PS4.
@ToddlerNaruto I liked Budakai 3 back on PS2. But after that, the rest of the DBZ games were just... meh.
@shonenjump86 Let me guess, you keep waiting for an actual DBZ action/adventure game with an in depth story?
Or an open world DBZ RPG with a long thrilling story?
@ToddlerNaruto A really good fighting game is what I really want. I like fighting games like Street Fighter and SNK games, so a DBZ fighting game made by the same guys who did Blazblue and Guilty Gear is something I can get into.
@shonenjump86 Oh I see what you meant.
@ToddlerNaruto There was a very good RPG dbz in DS way back when Kai was released. Covered everything till the first Vegita battle. It even had brolly as a secret boss. They hinted a Frieza sequel that never happened.
@belmont I heard about that DS game before. Shame we'll never have a full blown console DBZ RPG game though.
Xenoverse was the closest we've ever gotten.
Yes, please!
