Good news, the PlayStation E3 Experience is making a comeback, meaning that you’ll be able to watch Sony’s media briefing live in movie theatres yet again this year. A whopping 85 cinemas are taking part in the initiative, and while this does mean that there’ll be a bit of travel involved for some of you, the platform holder’s dangling a carrot of free goodies for those who do attend.
“Attendees will take home an exclusive poster and #76 from the PlayStation Collectable Card series,” marketing specialist Tiane Bella wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “Want more than just limited edition swag? We’ve got you covered — everyone will also get a digital gift basket chock-full of goodies from PlayStation Store.”
Traditionally, attendees have received beta access among other things for attending these events, so it’s worth going – everyone always speak really highly of the atmosphere within the movie theatres, too. Tickets will be free and available starting 30th May at 10:00AM PT, and you can find out more information about the registration process through here. Who’s going?

I mean, it would be cool to go see this in the theater, but the only one in Michigan is in Lansing. Thats over 2 hours round trip for me. If it was in the theater around the corner from me, I would be there. Guess I'll just watch it on the internet from the comfort of my house.

Such a shame E3 is not in UK cuz the last time I went to the cinema was to see Star Wars The Force Awakens but I'd definitely be interested in going to something like this.

Even if it were in UK cinemas, I'm not interested in going to a cinema at like 2AM or whenever Sony does their conferences.

I imagine watching Sony's E3 show in a theatre packed with like-minded people would be great fun. A shame I won't be able to partake in that, but watching at home on my iffy broadband at 2am on a workday surrounded by unhealthy snacks delivers its own experience, and it's one that I'm quite attached to.
I'd really would go to a cinema at 2-3am with the right incentives LOL It could also be an occasion to meet up with other site users.
I will be up with the usual 12 cups of tea in my system by that time.
I would love to go, but the registration site has been down all day. So frustrating!
Was able to grab my pass at about 10:30. I was literally the only one able to at the time and everyone thought I was trolling. My screen grab was there to show otherwise. Rather experience E3 this way than actually heading up to LA.
I was trying for hours but was unable to access the site.
