Sony appears to have launched a brand new PlayStation Store feature in the US. Dubbed 'The Creators', this fresh section allows for developers and other industry figures to recommend their favourite titles. Right now, Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi is on there, along with Rocket League studio Psyonix, Inside dev Playdead, president of PlayStation Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida, and more.
It's certainly an interesting addition to the store, especially since it gives you some insight into what's popular within the industry. Shu's selection is rock solid, by the way, with the likes of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Dark Souls III, Nioh, The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy XV all spotlighted.
There's no word from Sony on whether this recommendation section will soon be available outside of the US, but we at least hope that it's in the works.
Do you like this idea? Debate how cool your favourite developers are in the comments section below.

all i want them to do is add a proper search function
@FullbringIchigo It's awful. Add also the ability to gift games to my friends, and a notification when a game on my wishlist is on sale (both a la Steam) and I'd be happy.
I know this thread is going to devolve into features we all want BUT on the topic of this feature in particular it seems like a cool idea.
Agreed.
"You played Fez. Why not try...
Grand Theft Auto 5
Assassins Creed Unity
Fifa 17"
It's a neat feature. I hope developers will use it as a way to spotlight some smaller and lesser known games, otherwise I am not sure it is something I would check out all that often. I imagine most lists will look pretty similar, featuring some combination of Uncharted, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Horizon, FFXV, GTA V, or several other games you are likely to see whenever someone mentions must play PS4 games.
@kyleforrester87 The best one I ever got was "you've played Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star. Why not try Handball 2017"
@ShogunRok WHY THE HELL NOT?!
This looks very similar to Steam's curator setup. Didn't really do much for me, often giving oddball recommendations.
how about releasing it in the uk there are other countries beside usa
@ShogunRok But have you tried the nuances of Handball to under the connections? It might be a shared universe, MCU style
@adf86 "The nuances of Handball" really amused me for some reason. No offence to the sport.
The mobile/desktop store has been running smooth recently, the PS4 store is laggy as F, any changes please.
Saw this last night, didn't realize it was new, just assumed it was something I always ignored that they moved to the top/front of the section.
Did remind me I need to play The Last Guardian though, I keep forgetting about that one.
Thats all fine and dandy, though ill never use it. What im more concerned with is that when i go to games->genres->horror. And then not all the horror games are even there?!?!? Fix the base of ps store first. Also its an absolute mess. Why dont they see the logical branching set up. Its like a mad man designed it lol.
It's cool always good to get a broad range of opinions.
That's awesome!! Love that developers and other PS relatives show their favs. Yoshida likes Nioh ππimagine him rage-quitting π π‘ ππ
@kyleforrester87 Lol, psn recommend me a basketball games although I don't think I ever buy sport game on ps4
@JoeBlogs Yeah, I like the last guardian but there's like 3 second delay between pressing dualshock analog sticks and the boy moving.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I usually access psn on my smartphone/pc/ipad rather than ps4, the psn interface on smartphone is great.
Oh nice! Can somebody with a US account tell me what does SE Business Division 2 recommend? I just got EU and JP.
@FullbringIchigo Agreed, I wish they kept the original search function, the one we have now is a joke. I should not have to use my browser on my computer to find the game I want.
(Although I have a dual monitor set-up, one for the computer, and one for a console I have set up at the time. So it's pretty easy to do now. >.>)
@DiddyWahDiddy Definitely this, I know they said if there is enough demand they would probably add a gift function to the store so you can buy and give a game to a friend and such.
This is a pretty cool feature for the store, hopefully they can make one for regular PS4 users on their profile of what they recommend, maybe add sections for different genres and such.
