Is anyone else having to pinch themselves lately? It feels like we’re in the ultimate age of video games: LocoRoco has just received a remaster, virtual reality is viable and awesome, Crash Bandicoot is about to make a comeback, almost every anticipated game has exceeded expectations this year, and now the creators of PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man have announced a collaboration. Like, are we all going to wake up soon and realise this was all a dream.

Project Rap Rabbit, by the way – the aforementioned title by NanaOn-Sha and iNiS – has the potential to be the greatest game since Vib-Ribbon. No platforms have been announced yet, but employees of niche publisher PQube have indicated they’re working on the title, so we’re going to make an educated guess that this could end up on the PlayStation 4 – it would certainly make sense. Nothing’s been announced just yet, though, so do keep your expectations in check.

There’s a teaser trailer embedded above which has certainly got our hype flowing. We wonder if this is the kind of thing that may get wheeled out during an obligatory indie segment at E3 2017 next month? Could happen, could happen. Anyway, we’re hyped – fingers crossed it doesn’t wind up being some cruddy smartphone title, eh?
