It's only just been announced in Japan, but Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory already looks like it could be heading West. Publisher Bandai Namco has trademarked the name "Hacker's Memory" in Europe, suggesting that it's planning on bringing the latest game overseas at some point. It'll be available on PlayStation 4 and Vita in Japan, but there's obviously no word on Western platforms yet.
Hacker's Memory is the next title in the Digimon Story series. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth launched last year here in the West, and was positively received by both fans and the press. As such, it perhaps comes as no surprise to hear that a sequel is probably heading our way.

Update: Bandai Namco has confirmed that Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory is indeed heading West, but we won't be seeing it arrive on our shores until sometime in 2018. It'll feature Japanese audio with English and German subtitles, apparently, and it'll be available both physically and digitally for PS4, while Vita users will have to settle for a digital copy only.

European 2018 release confirmed!! Just awaiting the official North American announcement!
Come on North America announcement, I loved the last one so much. I think by the time I was done I was well over 100 hours on it.
So pumped! Bandai Namco are also bundling the original Cyber Sleuth as a preorder bonus much like what they did with God Eater: Resurrection and God Eater 2. Wonder if they do that in the west.
I really hated Digimon World: Next Order, so much so that I traded it in after 1 week. It's encouraging that they are returning to Cyber Sleuth and turn based. They can get that running on vita. After all Cyber Sleuth was the best selling game of 2016 on Vita- ahead of minecraft, they'd be crazy not to.
EDIT: YESS!! Vita will not die. Can't wait to platinum this one either.
Woo! Something for my vita! Loved the first
@Fight_Teza_Fight Personally, I like Nex Order since it added a bit of depth in the combat. Though I can see why people hate the game, mostly the Dimon Story fans. But the thing is, Nex Order is a Digimon World game. The world games focuses more like a "tomagachi" simulator with rpg and adventure elements, while Digimon Story games are mostly accessible turn based RPGs similar to Pokemon.
I really love Cybersleuth and I will get Next order sometime in the future! I'm really happy that the sequel of the first will come next year!!!
@SoulsBourne128 Yh I understand it's a throwback to the old digimon world games, but I just couldn't get into it. I think I clocked in 210+ hours on Cyber Sleuth (vita), but after 35 hours of grinding in the training centre and watching my digimon die over and over again I just couldn't keep going with it, especially on a home console. That boss fight at the end of chapter 1... . At normal it was impossible and that was my mistake, as Cyber Sleuth was hard enough on normal as well.
I want the franchise to be successful and I think the Cyber Sleuth formula is solid. There is still a market for turn based JRPGs.
But yh there's only so many times you can hatch an egg and train it, only to watch it die. In my case, 17 -_-
I might just be terrible though .
@Fight_Teza_Fight I know what you mean. I still personally still like the game (like it more than the Digimon World games on the PS1) but I can see why people don't like the game. I think it would be cool if they could make a Digimon World game with the combat system similar to the Trails of Cold Steel's games, or maybe atleast improving the same combat system for the newcomers. But that's my opinion.
Though I still think the game is beyond from being a bad game, which the same goes with Malicious Fallen, Berserk and Fate/Extella. The PS4 games released this year (so far) which are the truly worst, are Divide, Skyride, Dying Reborn, and Double Dragon 4. Maybe even Andromeda for being such a huge letdown.
