Ken Levine and the folk behind BioShock have revealed the name of their new studio: Ghost Story. Essentially, this is BioShock developer Irrational Games rebranded, and although the team has been hanging around since Irrational shut down in 2014, it's only just decided to formally introduce itself.

Well, when we say 'hanging around', we mean that the developer has been working on something for the past couple of years. According to the outfit's official press release, a "new immersive sci-fi game with RPG elements" is the focus, but at this point, the project is still in the "early stages of production". It's also stressed that Ghost Story is "not working on a BioShock game", so don't ask, okay?

That said, the developer does state that "we believe our new games will have strong appeal to fans of BioShock", so we wouldn't expect a drastic departure from the team's previous efforts.
