Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is not downloadable content, and it's not what was rumoured either. All of the talk pre-release pointed to a standalone story involving Sam Drake, but while it's true that you won't need Uncharted 4: A Thief's End to play this adventure, it's all about the relationship between Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross instead.
According to Naughty Dog, the new story will build upon the concepts introduced in the main game, including the "wide linear" level design, which deals with much broader play spaces. With the protagonist no longer being Nate, you can also expect a slightly revised feel to the combat mechanics. The story's set after the events of Uncharted 4, and will supposedly be longer than The Last of Us: Left Behind.
All in all, it's looking rather wonderful, isn't it? A release is expected next year.

So it's a standalone game, but a short one? Wonder if that will affect the pricing..
Chloe is my favorite to play as in multiplayer so it will be cool to get to play as her in a story.
Awesome! I was hoping they'd work Chloe into it somehow. This is better than I would've asked for.
So this is the 25.00USD DLC, right?
Can't wait for this
So when you say "wider linear" areas, would that be like the Tomb Raider games?.
Always thought Uncharted would be a lot better if the level design was more like the Tomb Raider games, hate the whole chapter design.
I might grab this. Gameplay looks a bit more interesting than the usual Nathan Drake formula of: climb up a wall, make a quip, and murder everyone in sight.
Very interesting. Glad it's standalone and not dlc.
@Ralizah "formula of: climb up a wall, make a quip, and murder everyone in sight." - perfect summary. This is how I see uncharted.
Looks like a nice twist on the Uncharted 4 formula. Can't wait!
Is it still part of deluxe dlc that I've already paid for?
i would assume this will be included in the explorer's pack dlc (i doubt there'd be a different 'single-player bonus chapter' to come). if i recall, left behind was about £12 when it came out, so i'd expect this to be a bit more - maybe £16-20 (considering the explorer's pack is £20).
