With the big PlayStation 4 releases all out, there was a chance that Sony's system may sag, but it registered a decent hold in this week's Media Create report. The bog-standard box shifted some 70,031 units for the week, while the PS4 Pro added another 9,317 units on top – not enough to displace the 3DS, but a reasonable statistic all the same.
There's no new software to talk about this time, but Yakuza 6 and Final Fantasy XV both added another 44k units to their lifetime tallies – the latter of which is working its way towards the all-important one million units milestone now. The same is true of Minecraft: PS Vita Edition, which is just a few weeks away from smashing seven digits. The charts are below.

Do we know how close FFXV is to Square's 10 million target yet? Hope to goodness it makes it. Its a fantastic game, and ive only just reached chapter 3.
Cant wait for Yakuza 6. Zero and Kiwami will tie me over nicely next year mind
Sony need to make psvita pro so japan gamer can play yakuza 0 and ff xv on the go, just replace the cpu with newer one, remove the back touchscreen, and replace psvita memory card with sdcard
@wiiware Simple as that.
Seems like Japan loves Pokemon and Yokai Watch.
@get2sammyb I mean, come on. Doesn't it annoy sony seeing all those chart filled by 3ds titles
@Rob_230 it gets better! Honestly bro wait until the bad ass evil guy reveals himself!
This top 9 is well varied. Good going game tastes.
@themcnoisy I cant wait. I am 11 hours in and only just starting out it seems. So so good can see this being the first game this gen I replay once the additional sorry is added in too. Might even buy the season pass, and I generally dislike those things.
Agree with you on the top 9. Wish our charts were as varied! Delighted to see my beloved vita continue to do decent numbers too!
Go Final Fantasy XV, reach that million in Japan !
Ps vita been doing good number for the past few weeks too. I am currently playing steins:gate 0. My game off the year. Keep up the good support japan.
Wow, FFXV is already knocked out of the top5, doesnt seem very good for SE.
Glad to see Yo-Kai Watch is still going strong in Japan.
Got everything crossed YKW3 gets localised for Switch.
I was thinking wow, sales are really on the up and up in Japan all around...
Then I remembered Christmas is in 3 days.
@JaxonH Japan isn't a Christian country so I don't think Christmas would have much of an impact on sales. Unless, bizarrely, we were talking about KFC. Seriously, look it up
2DS and New 3DS both outselling Vita on their own. It's like Sony is competing with two Nintendos!
@BertoFlyingFox still in the top 10 after almost a month for a home console game in Japan = pure gold. I am surprised it is still there...
